Blue Mountain View Lake Cottage

A place we found and loved instantly. We go there for peace and tranquility, to enjoy nature, kajaking and long beach walks. We love to listen to the call of the loons. We love to explore and find new wonderful places as we hope you will too! The space Declared "2nd in the world as a travel destination" by National Geographic and the "world’s most scenic island" by Conde Nast, visit us in Nova Scotia’s Cape Breton masterpiece where our house sits in the middle of all the beauty.. Our cottage has 4 bedrooms, all with lake view and with a private bathroom. Two living rooms and a open kitchen dining living area are completing the setting. A deck is facing the lake. Our cottage is embedded in nature where you can watch wildlife, swim in the lake (during the summer). Kayaking or walking the nearby beaches is also possible. You can visit Sydney or the Fortress of Louisbourg (1/2 hour drive) go to Baddeck and sail with an old sail ship or you take a trip to the Highlands. Be prepared to be awed by the spectacular beauty of this region as you travel the northern tip of Cape Breton . Keep an eye out for marine life frolicking in the water (wale watching), and land wildlife such as Moose, bear, bobcat, coyote and fox. The possibilities are endless. The licensed Riverbank Restaurant offers Canadian-& European Cuisine and is only a 20 minute drive away as is the little village Marion Bridge where you can do your grocery shopping. If you are looking for a peaceful and tasteful setting to relax we have the place you have to go to. We are looking forward to welcome you to our little paradise. Once in a while my husband and I are staying at the cottage too. We decided to offer our cottage during those weeks too do to the many requests we get. We can ensure that there is more then enough privacy at our place! Please remember we are not a hotel. We are not living from the money we charge, we use it to make the place better for you and for us. For poeple with kids: Please talk with us in advance so we know who is comming, how many and what age the kids are! Young kids are not staying free but we are willing to make special arrangements.
