The View

I invite you to enjoy my sanctuary. Our home is on Douglas Island with breath taking views of the Gastineau Channel where the cruise ships and float planes come and go all day. You may be tempted to stay in your room and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you from your comfy bed. The space Our guest suite offers a beautifully appointed 15x22ft great room complete with a plush queen bed and cozy linens, love-seat, a 50" flat-screen tv with Netflix available. The entire front of the room is nearly floor to ceiling window with cathedral ceilings and gorgeous views of Gastineau Channel. Just off of the suite is a deck perfect for two to relax in the open air. Unfortunately, the fireplace is currently just for looks. A small kitchenette is just outside of the room where you will find continental breakfast items and some light snacks, coffee, and tea. There is a table and chairs, refrigerator, microwave, and a keurig for your convenience. Across the hall is a cute little bathroom including a small shower. You are welcome to use the stackable washer and dryer in the same hallway. You will use a key pad to enter. My room is down the hall, but I will not disturb your space. Guest access Shared entry to the building with keypad lock. You will have access to the second floor including; Your private guest suite with 2 person balcony and locking door, kitchenette, and bathroom(all used only by you during your stay). We also welcome you to share our family deck with seating and BBQ as well as the washer and dryer in the hallway. During your stay The level of interaction is up to you. You may pass us in the hall way or out on the deck and we are happy to chat or give you as much privacy as you would like. Our out-door grill and sitting area is available for you to use as you like. There is parking on the property.
