It would be difficult to find a beautiful setting like this in Southern Oregon. The 100 year old craftsman house sits in the middle of 4 enclosed acres of trees and farmland. Staying here is like living in a park. The property is fenced on all sides and is very private. We have a greenhouse with fresh vegetables available for those who might want to cook outside in an enclosed area. The living room/dining room is very beautiful and is air conditioned for comfort. A Hollywood style pool (installed in 1952) is deep and clean. Parking is plentiful. A border Collie (very gentle) is our watchman. Small dogs are welcome if they are in a kennel. A field, in the front of the house is a great place to exercise them and do what comes naturally. We live in an apartment sized room on the second floor. Downstairs is a private room where the owner (a jazz pianist) writes and records her own compositions. A path through the front field leads to a small grocery store, only 100 yards away. The owners are from Nepal and are very friendly and interesting. It's a great place to purchase breakfast sandwiches and different food all day long. It has a great wine and beer selection for such a small store. A half mile away is a tree farm with 3 miles of pathways, dogs are okay if they are on a leash. In Jacksonville there are walking paths above the town that are very safe. For bicyclists, a 20 miles path along I-5 is a great ride, slightly uphill going to Ashland, downhill coming back. Medford is only 4 miles from the property. Costco is only 3 miles away.
