Classic Maine Cottage - dock, sauna & kayaks
The Perfect Maine Cottage! On the edge of the ocean, carefully preserved with traditional details. Charming, open floor plan, with a wall of windows to the ocean. Sunny large wrap-around deck and screen porch creates beautiful outside spaces to enjoy. Perfect for listening to waves and watch lobstermen pull up their traps. Cathedral ceilings and Scandinavian design gives the cottage an exclusive feeling. Gentle stairs lead to the private deep water dock for all kinds of boating. We love our ocean front cottage on popular Orr's Island, and are thrilled to welcome you to enjoy its views and comfort. For us, it is a much needed escape from busy city life. It is also perfectly located for exploring quintessential 'Mid-Coast' Maine. The space is open and bright, with a generous wrap-around porch for breakfast coffee with a view, sun-chairs or summer evening dinners. The full cottage and the surroundings can be accessed by guests. We’re available by text or email anytime Harpswell is a wonderful fishing community on the 'Mid-Coast' of Maine, made up by a number of connected islands and land, including popular Orr's and Bailey's Island. It is close to Brunswick and Bowdoin and has easy access to Portland airport and harbor. Around the cottage you will find famous landmarks like the Cribstone Bridge as you drive from Orr's to Bailey Island, boating and kayaking opportunities, great hikes (Giant's stairs is stunning), excellent lobster shacks (Erica's is our favorite), fine dining and salty ocean baths. Easiest to get around with car. Portland airport is about an hour away, with many daily domestic flights. Boston is about 3 hours away with many domestic and international connections. There is a bus from Boston all the way up to Portland or Brunswick but you'll need wheels from there. Note: the dock is typically in the water Memorial day to late September, depending on the tides
