Description
Newer custom 860 square foot ground level apartment attached to a 2500 square foot shop. Shop noise will be minimized during your stay. The apartment is a 10 minute drive from downtown Palmer, 25 minutes from Hatcher Pass and a beautiful 45 minute drive from north Anchorage (60 minutes from the airport). The apartment is a great base location to explore Alaska with easy driving to hiking, fishing and local tourist attractions. Alaska state fairgrounds are a quick 15 minute drive away. The space The apartment has one bedroom with a large living area and an open layout. Entry is keyless. Living room has a sofa bed. Kitchen is custom and fully equipped. Blackout blinds in the bedroom help you sleep at night even with the “midnight sun”. Walk in closet is large and contains extra blankets and linens. The bathroom has a large shower . A full size washer and dryer are available in the unit. The area in front of the apartment and shop is paved, and there is a partial privacy fence. Parking is available immediately in front of the unit. Pets are welcome but MUST be on a leash at all times when outside. Please be advised that this is a smoke free property. Guest access Feel free to take your dog for a walk down the driveway but please use a leash and watch for wildlife. Other things to note As a reminder, it is a rare house in Alaska that has central air conditioning. There can be times in the summer in Alaska that it can be quite warm. Our apartment is equipped with ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom. We have a portable air conditioner in the living room that keeps the apartment quite cool. There are is a window fan available for the living room and a tower fan in the bedroom for those warmer days. The apartment is on the ground floor with a large storage area above which also keeps the unit cooler. The apartment is supplied with well water that is filtered and free from contaminants, but you may notice a strong sulfur smell of the water. We recommend you consider bringing bottled water if you feel you may have issues with tap water with a hint of sulfur taste or smell.
