MAIN FLOOR: * The main floor features the kitchen, dining area and the living room. KITCHEN: The updated and fully equipped kitchen provides the ability to prepare your own home cooked meals. This kitchen features an electric stove. There are plenty of pots, pans, cooking utensils and dishes provided that let you get right down to creating your feast. Although compact, this efficient space offers a full sized fridge and stove; in addition to smaller appliances like coffee maker, microwave and toaster. ADDED BONUS - the built in dishwasher makes clean up a breeze. LIVING ROOM (with Work Space): The living room is decorated in soft neutral tones for a relaxing atmosphere. There are plenty of seating options for your group to settle in around the TV (with unlimited internet use - stream your favourite shows, movies or sporting events) The work space offers a laptop friendly area for guests needing to stay connected while travelling. Internet/WIFI connectivity is strong and will support multiple devices simultaneously. Upper Level: *****IMPORTANT NOTE***** ALL BEDROOMS and the FULL BATHROOM (4 pc) are on the upper level and will require climbing stairs. Three (3) BEDROOMS: The 3 bedrooms each offer super comfy beds with new mattresses for a restful nights sleep, plenty of storage options and are decorated in relaxing neutral tones with a few fun quirky touches. There are closet spaces in each of the bedrooms to hang your belongings. * Bedroom #1: Is the largest bedroom is size and features a view of the backyard. * Bedroom #2 & Bedroom #3: Both of these bedrooms feature a compact and efficient layouts. Plenty of towels are provided and our guest amenities are environmentally conscious. (and umm... well... they smell amazing too!) Lower Level - BASEMENT Layout: The lower level of this home features the second bathroom (note, this one is a half bath), the second living room/recreation room and the laundry facilities. BATHROOM (2pc) - the second HALF BATH is located DOWNSTAIRS in the basement area. This bathroom has also been updated to feature a current colour palette, contemporary fixtures and modern decor. It is not a huge space by any means but does take pressure of sharing a single restroom with the rest of your group. It IS perfect for "when ya have to go" and are already downstairs. Great for kids and adults that perhaps "wait until the last minute"... wink wink LIVING ROOM #2/RECREATION ROOM Please note: * to accommodate larger groups for shorter stays there is a sofa bed in the living room. ** The sofa bed will accommodate 2 people. ** There is firm maximum of eight (8) people per booking and this number of people must be approved in advance (This is NOT a party house!) *** This number of eight (8) guests is certainly not recommended for longer term stays as it gets pretty crowded and privacy/comfort for your visit is compromised. LAUNDRY: ✔ YES!! - there is a laundry room available for use. ✘ NOPE!! - there is no extra charge to use the machines __________________________________________________ Special notes to newer Airbnb community members... to assist you in packing a bit lighter, we've put together a few short FAQ responses: ✔ Yes, freshly laundered bedding is provided and already in place for your stay ✔ Yes, we also provide towels and some fantastic "earth friendly" amenities like shower gel, conditioning shampoo, soap... our guests love them (check out our reviews!!) ** Insider Tip: Check out the basket in the hall closet, there are some additional items just in case you did forget an essential, so there is a good chance that we might just have you covered :) ✔ Yes, the kitchen is fully equipped with the fridge, a full sized GAS stove and small appliances including a toaster, microwave, and coffee maker. ✔ Yes. Coffee and tea are provided. ✔ Yes. The traditional kettle is waiting on the stove... come get settled in. ✘ Heck no!!... you do NOT have to bring your own toilet paper. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the entire home and back yard area. There is a locked cabinet in the basement that is off limits and used for owner storage/supplies. Other things to note This solid brick semi home was constructed over 50 years ago and has stood the test of time. It features an efficient layout and compact layout as it is comprised of three levels. However, like with any home it does have a few shortcomings, most notably that stairs are required to access sleeping areas and both bathrooms. As such, this home is NOT a good fit for persons with mobility challenges. The basement is dry as a bone and during heavy storms, you may hear the sump pump kick on to keep it that way. A rather familiar sound if you are used to this in your own home, but for those of you that may not be used to this feature, a wee head's up is in order. The sump pump is located in the basement area and folks will hear a "click" and a low hum of a motor for a brief time.
