Outdoors Lovers! Romantic hideaway near Stowe and Smugg’s, the Long Trail, and Lamoille Valley Rail Trail, The Vermont Treehouse in Johnson is a cozy, retreat from the crazy outside world. A short hike to the many streams and waterfalls on our private trails will make you feel like a kid again! Go on a picnic, listen to the birds, rediscover yourself. Then back to the freshly cleaned hot tub to soak your cares away. Sound good? The space ~ Up up up! Five levels of awesomeness. ~ Very well equipped kitchen on first floor. ~ Three bedrooms, two with Queen beds, one with twin beds, all very comfy! One full bath (shower), and two half baths. One half bath is on the first floor (off the dining area) one half bath is on the third floor, just off the master bedroom. ~ Brick and hardwood floors, architectural details, books galore ~ Washer, dryer on first floor. - Central heat, back up automatic generator in case of power outage. - Beautiful Hearthstone gas fireplace in living room, second floor. - Hot tub, on enclosed porch, is freshly changed and cleaned for each guest. - Several miles of beautiful trails to explore with brooks, waterfalls, and wildlife ~ Free wireless internet ~ A/C units in the summer ~ Board games, chess set, cards ~ Chemically free, great tasting water from the well ~ Close to V.A.S.T. snowmobile trail system, Lamoille Valley Rail Trail (bring your bikes or get an electric or pedal powered version locally), and the Lamoille River for fishing and canoeing. ~Close to Northern Vermont University and the Vermont Studio School ~Private driveway, plenty of free parking. ~Please note that this is a no pet/no smoking property, due to extreme allergies. P.S. Old reviews may refer to the presence of a detached wood sauna- please note there is no longer a wood sauna on the property. We have tried to think of everything we would want to have if we were on vacation! Guest access It's the whole house, and the hot tub (oh yeah!), and the snowshoeing/hiking trails, which start right off the driveway! Waterfalls, picnic spots, nature at it's finest! Due to the cliffside location and open layout, The Vermont Treehouse is not suitable for young children to be let loose in. Also, no pets, due to allergy, sorry. Other things to note 1. Upon booking, please send me your email address so I can email over our Short Term Rental Agreement, which basically reiterates the House Rules. This must be filled out, signed, and initialed where indicated and emailed back to me within 48 hours for final confirmation. 2. Vermont roads in the winter can be tricky in the mountains! Be sure you have an all- wheel drive or four wheel drive vehicle with good winter tires. We plow as needed, but are up in the hills and want you to be able to make it here safely in the winter season, as well to all the ski areas! 3. This is a non smoking property. Evidence of smoking (anything) in the house may result in loss of entire Security Deposit. 4. No animals, no exceptions, due to allergy and other reasons. There are plenty of ‘pet friendly’ places available. Thank you for understanding. 5. Because of the unique layout of the house and property (five levels of awesomeness, on a steep cliff) this house is really not suitable for young children. Guests with children under 12 may be asked to sign an additional liability waiver.
