The Cape -Vacation Beachfront -Cozy Staycation

Looking for a quiet Staycation/Vacation or need a place to quarantine before visiting family or friends? The Cape is perfect year round, located on Shad Bay just 25min from downtown Halifax and 15min from Peggy’s Cove. It has spectacular views from it’s two tiered back deck, 50’ wharf and your own private beach, where you can enjoy the water, sand, beach toys, 2 kayaks and paddle board. With patio doors all along the back, the kitchen, dining and main living space, have breathtaking views. The space The open concept kitchen, living and dining room invite conversation and cozy relaxation by the wood fireplace. Enjoy dinners for up to 8 people around the diner table, with plenty more room for dining and conversation around the large kitchen island or curl up in the family room with a good book from our library, or play a game together from our game selection. The cottage can comfortably sleep guest (up to 7 adults and one child). There are three bedrooms and one common sleeping area. The primary bedroom has a queen sized bed and an en-suite bathroom that includes a full bath, washer and dryer. The second bedroom has a queen bed and is next to a full 3 piece bathroom. The third bedroom has a double bed. The common room has a double/single bunk bed. The top single bunk is suitable for a child. All bedrooms offer quiet comfort, cozy duvets, and pillows inviting you to settle in and get comfortable. There are extra towels and basic amenities available. ***All linens, duvet covers and shams are all freshly washed and pressed between guests.. Extra care is taken to clean and disinfect door knobs, light switches and commonly touches surfaces. ***The Cape has a digital key pad for entry, which offers guests a contact free self check in and check out. The Cape is great spot all year round. In the warmer months our private beach offers something for the whole family. Relax on the beach with the water at your toes, play in the sand with beach toys, go fishing off the wharf, go kayaking in one of the two kayaks, get out on the paddle board or enjoy a beach fire at night in our rock fire pit. Let’s not forget about wintertime at The Cape. It is a fully winterized home where you can plan a festive retreat for family and friends. You can all cozy up next to the wood fireplace staying warm, while the snow swirls outside. We bought this cottage in 2008 as a gathering place for our family. We have always dreamed of owning a cottage right on the ocean and we are excited to share it with you. It is a place of gathering, connecting and sharing, where friends and family can come together to refuel, step away from the demands of everyday life, and build lasting memories together. Guest access: The Cape has WiFi and good cell service. Guest have full access to everything the home and property have to offer. Other things to note: We expect that our home will be treated with care and left in the condition it was found. There is no smoking permitted inside. No extra guests (not included in the reservation), and no parties or events are allowed. We have a hot tub for our guests to enjoy that comfortably fits 4-6 adults. Please let us know if you would like to use it and it will be set up and hot for you when you arrive. There is a $60 surcharge for the use of the hot tub.
