Historic Thompson House

Thompson House is historic, quirky, unique and comfortable. It survived the 1964 9.2 earthquake and tsunami that caused Old Valdez to relocate to the new and present town site. An addition more than doubled the size of the original one room cabin which included an extensive remodel. The space The house sleeps 6. There are three bedrooms and a half bath upstairs, the master with a queen bed, the second with three twins, and a twin in the tower recommended for anyone over the age of 12. There is a queen futon available downstairs if required. This house does not offer private “close door” bedrooms. The full bath and sauna are steps apart on the main floor. Newly refurbished, Thompson House offers Wi fi, TV, blue ray player, new kitchen appliances, microwave, washer, dryer, freezer, on demand water heater and Toyo heater. No need to chop and haul wood! There is off street parking in front of the house.
