It's a beautiful house in the front of the sea with three bedrooms with its own bathroom on the second floor, a half bathroom in the first floor, a kitchen, a living room, a terrace, an of course, a great swimming pool. it's a very nice place to take a vacation and relax with the sound of the sea and the sunset and sunrise. Chicxulub is a small and very quiet fisherman place located 5 miles (about 8 km) from Progreso. MINIMUM STAY ONE MONTH The space Busses run two times a day between Progreso and Chicxulub, and minivans (called combis) throught the day. There are a lot of houses in the near by rented for canadian people. Progreso and Chicxulub offers most of the services of a city, like: drugstores, laundry, ATM, local and long distance telephones, internet places, market (meat, seafood, veggies, organic food, etc), restaurants, etc. Upstairs are three large bedrooms, each with ceiling fan, Air Conditioner, closet and bed. The principal bedroom and other one have view to the sea and the third to the back garden. It has another room with its own bathroom if you have a maid or servants. All the rooms are ready to hang "hamacas" (hammocks). Kitchen with all you'll need: refrigerator/freezer, microwave, oven, toaster, gas stove, dishes, cups, glasses, cooking and serving utensils, puriffied water dispenser with hot and cold water (only the first bottle is includded). All the bathrooms with its towels, the bedrooms with SMART TVS televisions, hot and cold water service, a round table and chairs for the outdoor, a large covered terrace, barbeque grill, private sand area, a big parking lot inside the terrain. The hole house is fully rounded by shell made ornaments and photos of the sea, you'll love the marine ambient inside the house. A lot of beach plants, potted and flowering trees. Snorkeling, fishing, swimming, beach walking on the sunset, shell collecting and exotic bird watching can all be done from the beach in front of the house. Ten minutes' drive east takes you to a viewing tower for flamingos, or you may see them in the shallow waters along the road out to the house. There is a marina near the house if you have or rent a boat. Sailing, kitesurfing and windsurfing instructors are there too and a great restaurant. Kayaks for rent are available in Progreso. Fishing trips can be arranged with the local fishermen or the vigilant of the house. Mayan ruin sites like Dzibilchaltun are within half hour drives, and Uxmal is about an hour and a half. The colonial city of Merida with its Cathedral, Governor's Palace, parks, museums, shopping malls and restaurants is about a 30 minute drive, with a golf course on the way (25 km) called La Ceiba. we have our own vigilancy person who is living in front of the house, for a little extra money he can take you to fishing, cook the fishes, clean the house or help you with anything you need.
