Restaurants & supermarket are 5 minutes drive from this beautiful apartment tucked away in the jungle. This Air conditioned Studio has recently been remodeled. Peaceful tranquility in the tree canopy of Jungle. I have super fast fiber optic internet (30Mbs). Just 5 minutes drive from the beautiful beach of Xpu-Ha, 5 minutes drive to the nearest super market and 20 minutes drive from the town of Playa del Carmen. This room sleeps up to 2 people and has its own private bathroom. It has a fully equipped kitchenette with stovetop, fridge, coffee machine, toaster oven and a 1 cup liquidizer for smoothies. There is a peaceful shaded seating area on the balcony overlooking the cenote and surrounding jungle. The room is light and airy with ceiling fan and A/C). Mosquito netted windows allow a good breeze to come through the room. Access to this studio is up 1 flight of stairs. Toh Ha Spa has a very unique feature:- this is your own private natural swimming pool. You enter the water via a staircase that takes you down underground into a cave where you'll see rock formations like Stalactites that have been there for thousands of years. You enter the water via wooden steps that take you to the waters edge. The water is filtered through a bio-filter system that seeps down through a variation of rocks, minerals and plants creating a natural swimming pool. The Cenote is a natural water pool that is ever-changing. With the rain the water becomes cloudy and not clear so less inviting to swim in. The cover photo for this listing was taken when the cenote was looking as it's best and had just been cleaned with machinery. Factors like rain and water levels and circulation cause changes in the color of the water so please take this in to consideration. GUESS WHAT? IT'S A JUNGLE OUT THERE FOLKS!! If you don't like bugs best look elsewhere. I built my house in the jungle and have utmost respect for all critters so please try not to harm anything! If you do find something inside that you don't want to share the space with please gently put it outside, or message me and I will be more than happy to help you remove it :) Keeping all the screens closed will help keep them outside. We do have little Geckos that you might see inside and they love to eat little bugs so they are our friends :) Its possible that you will see Blue Morpho butterflies, Motmots, Toucans, humming birds, Chachalacas and many other feathered friends. There is a trail around my property for walks. Some kind of trainer or closed shoe is recommended for this trail walk. Its a private trail within my property perimeter wall that takes you on a windy path to the Koi Fish pond. I also rent 2 more spaces on the same property. There is free parking close to the stairs that take you up to the apartment. You will pick up the key from me at Check-in and can come and go as you please. There is an automatic gate at the entrance to the property. Guests are given a gate control for the duration of there stay. Full interaction with the guests ensures everyone is happy. I wan't your stay to be as comfortable as possible! Rancho Tazol is a quiet gravel street with around just 10 families living in the neighboring properties. Toh Ha Spa is built in the middle of this 2 and a half acre estate so neighbors are rarely seen or heard unless you pass them in the road as you enter the private entrance. There is ample parking for your vehicle(s). Its recommended that you have a rental car for the duration of your stay. If you need help booking a car you can contact me for more information. This will enable you to go shopping, to restaurants and the beach just 5 minutes drive away. The neighboring Marina town of Puerto Aventuras is just 2 minutes drive, where you'll find over 40 restaurants and many shops and a beautiful beach with great snorkeling. oh Ha Spa, where does the name come from? TOH is the Mayan name for a specific bird also know as turquoise-browed motmot (Eumomota superciliosa).These magestic birds nests in rocks and crevices in cenotes and caves and up 5 pairs nest here in the property during March to June each year. Up to 10 Toh swoop in and out of the cave all day long, both males and females bringing insects and fruits to their young during this time. It’s a bird watches paradise! HA is the Mayan word for water, referring to the cenote. Our rivers on the Yucatán peninsular, run underground in caves and when there is an opening where the water is visible it’s called a cenote. SPA refers to the excellent Spa services such as massages, facials and spa treatments by Chahat who is our in-house beauty therapist. Chahat provides her services during your stay here at Toh Ha Spa. The spa menu will be provided before you arrive so you can prebook any treatments. On site there is an apartment occupied by the owner and her quiet dogs. This apartment has it's own separate access. It's close enough for you to reach out if you need anything but tucked away so that you don't notice anyone else living on the property.
