Whether you're hiking mountain trails as a family or want a cozy retreat as a couple, the Loft is a great central hub for your stay. Completed in 2017, the Loft is conveniently located just off US 50 in the Royal Gorge region at the base of the Rockies. We are 45 miles south of Colorado Springs and 60 miles east of Salida. The Loft is located on the second story of our detached garage on our primary residence and has a private entrance. At almost 700 sq. ft., there is room for anyone from an independent adventurer to a family of 5. The full kitchen offers the tools to make your own meals. If you prefer to dine out there are many unique local places as well as chain restaurants nearby. After your adventures, come back to the Loft and enjoy the cozy fireplace and watch movies on the 48" 4k TV. The daybed offers a cozy place to curl up with a book. PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR RESERVATION ONLY INCLUDES USE OF INDOOR SPACE. NO ACCESS TO OUTDOOR SPACES ARE PERMITTED (except parking). Also, there is no smoking/vaping of any kind allowed on the Loft property (including outdoor spaces). Living Room - Cozy electric fireplace [heat optional]; - Comfortable couch with sleeper queen bed; - 50" 4k QLED HDR TV with Roku [including YouTube TV and Netflix], and Klipsch soundbar w/subwoofer; - Daybed [close to twin size] with comfortable memory foam mattress and private light; Dining Area - Dining table with seating for 4. Kitchen - Stainless fridge, stove, microwave, and dishwasher; - Keurig, drip coffee maker, toaster, Ninja blender, and hand mixer; - Dinnerware for 6; - Cookware, bakeware, and cooking utensils; - K-Cups, tea, and creamer. Bedroom - King memory foam bed with down alternative pillows; - 32" full HD TV [with Roku]; - Desk; - Full-length mirror; - Iron and tabletop ironing board. Bathroom - Shower with full-size tub; - plenty of towels and washcloths (amount needed estimated off of number of guests and length of stay but more are available by request); - Hairdryer - Toiletries provided. The Loft has a private keyless entry with 14 steps leading upstairs to the living area. You will have the entire Loft apartment to yourself during your stay. We reserve the outdoor space (including the patio and outdoor areas) for our family. Please note that there is no smoking allowed on our property, inside or outside. I will send check-in instructions, including the code, the day of check-in. Check-in instructions will also be available in the Airbnb app. You may get in any time after 4pm, and you are free to come and go as you please. The Loft is located on our property, so you may see us going about our day outside. We are available to answer any questions, but prefer to keep it between 7am-9pm. The Loft is located in a small town just off US 50. Our house was built in 1889, and recently updated. Most of the surrounding homes were built in the 1970s, converting the cucumber fields into several 1/2 acre residential properties. The Loft living space was completed in 2017. Unfortunately, because we're in a small town we do not have public transportation available. However, there are some local taxi options, and there are a few Uber drivers in town as well.
