Pool is available during the Summer (May-October) Other months the pool is cool and may be unavailable (inquire.) We follow Airbnb's enhanced cleaning regime and do a thorough deep clean and sanitization between guests. We also provide our guests with access to cleaning supplies during their stay. The cleaning fee is $250. We, or our neighbors, strive to greet guests outdoors when they arrive and to make sure guests settle in comfortably and to answer any questions about the house guests may have. The house is in a rural valley within a short drive (apt 10 minutes) to several beaches. Unlike our sister beach and boardwalk in Santa Cruz which gets packed with tourists, our closest beach -Rio Del Mar - is miles long and frequented by locals. Great place to go for a stroll, take the stairs to wonderful ocean views, hold a bbq and check out the amazing half sunk ship. We're also close to renowned hiking under a canopy of massive redwoods at Nisene Marks park, local farmer's markets with fresh organics and home made delicacies. For folks who want to eat out, there are some terrific restaurants and the famous Aptos BBQ, for ribs and live blues. You'll need a car to get to the beach and shops, but you can stroll out the door and go for a scenic walk in the valley. We recently upgraded our internet service for a faster and more reliable connection. Verizon is the only reliable cell phone service in the valley, but many people use internet to connect via text & What's Ap. We also have a landline phone. The Pool has a new solar-heating system and cover. For people who like to loaf around in the pool, it's very warm from June-September. For lap-swimmers who don't mind cooler water, the season runs roughly from May-October, possibly through November. From December-March the pool is not available. The hot-tub is warm year round.
