Guests can access the beach club by purchasing any drinks or food. As our valued guests, you can access the exclusive Tao Wellness Center for a preferred fee, which includes two pools, a gym, yoga classes, a healthy breakfast bar, and professional massage services. There is air conditioner in every room. Be aware that Akumal is a natural reserve located in the jungle and next to the beach. You may encounter insects, mosquitoes, harmless spiders, and local fauna around the exterior. We fumigate regularly, but please understand that you are staying in a natural area adjacent to both the jungle and the beach. The property is located 15 minutes by car from the Tulum Ruins, 8 minutes from Xel-Ha eco-park, and 20-30 minutes from Playa del Carmen, X-Caret, and Xplor. Major supermarkets can be found just a 10-minute drive away in Puerto Aventuras, Playa del Carmen, or Tulum. We highly recommend you to rent a car at the airport or even in Tulum so you can freely visit many of the attractions. It is a quiet community, we ask to behave accordingly. No parties and loud noises after 10 pm. Please NOTE: The house is located in a natural reserve in Akumal; power failures in the electricity network including internet service may happen, usually, during short periods. We look forward hosting you Guest access You have access to the residential exclusive Beach club which is steps away from the house. It features swimming pool, sun chairs, food & beverages, access to beach. Other things to note There is an access door keypad and a surveillance camera located at the entrance in the exterior hallway, as well as another camera on the ground floor back terrace. The Tao Wellness Center is operated by a third party company and we cannot ensure specific aspects of their services. Additionally, they retain the right to deny admission, and the Wellness Center services are available for an additional fee. Please NOTE that our villa is surrounded by wild fauna, including iguanas and raccoons. We kindly ask guests not to feed or touch the animals. Additionally, avoid the vegetation behind the villa, as it is a protected area home to diverse flora and fauna, including the poisonous Chechen tree, which can cause rashes or burns. Akumal is a tropical town within the Riviera Maya jungle, so you may encounter insects, ants, or other species. We frequently fumigate, but cannot completely eliminate them. We like to help the environment by separating the trash, there are containers outside the villa next to the parking. We also provide organic soap and shower gel made locally. During the season of turtle nesting (summer) if you decide to take a walk at night to the beach, we kindly ask you don't use a lantern to the beach because they can get disoriented with the light. Smoking is NOT allowed only on the exterior terraces.
