The Crooked Cabin in West Bragg Creek

Escape to your own cozy little cabin in Bragg Creek- 30 minutes west of Calgary, 10 minutes west of Bragg Creek and 45-60 minutes to the Rocky Mountains. A rustic, bright, clean and peaceful retreat in the middle of the forest. Only 5 minutes to the West Bragg Creek Day Park where you'll find numerous trails for walking, hiking, biking, skiing and snow-shoeing! Enjoy great dining and shopping in the hamlet- less than a 10 minutes drive down the road. The space Our cabin is self contained and separate from the main residence on our property. It has lots of privacy and all the amenities you will need to be comfortable including heat, hot water and modern appliances including a microwave. Coffee, tea, and bottled water are provided in addition to clean well water. We also provide several kitchen amenities such as salt, pepper, oil, and some spices. The kitchen is adequately stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc. Dinnerware is for 4. Throughout the cabin, flooring is restored hardwood and ceramic tile. Enjoy the cozy wood burning fireplace for those evenings when you want to snuggle up with someone you love! (Please note that you will be set up with a good supply of wood on check-in). If you need extra wood you can purchase additional bags of wood from us for $20 or purchase wood at different outlets in the hamlet; or you can bring your own from home. Propane is supplied for the barbeque. In addition to cable television there is a DVD player with a limited number of DVD movies on hand. Other movies can be rented in the hamlet. We continue to employ enhanced (Covid) cleaning protocols and we ask that our guests limit day time visitors to 2 individuals at any given time. Guest access Please note that although you will have access to Wifi, it MAY be unavailable during your visit for a variety of reasons (usually weather related). Cell service may also be patchy depending on the provider you use (Rogers is best followed by Telus and then others). Generally either Wifi or cell service is more accessible by walking up closer to the main house. However, we suggest that you consider a different rental property if you require either on a consistent basis. We love animals, but to ensure an allergy free environment, we DO NOT allow any pets in the cabin. Additionally due to safety concerns (e.g. non-child proofed, sharp corners, heights) the property is NOT appropriate for mobile toddlers or children under 10 years of age. There is parking on site, but no handicapped access to the cabin. An ample amount of kindling and wood is provided for the indoor fireplace at check-in. Extra kindling and wood will cost $20 for wood (~13 pieces) and $8 for kindling (~10 pieces). Propane is provided for the outside barbeque. The cabin has a large deck with outside seating. Other things to note Luggage dropoff allowed for early or late departures. Please inquire about early check-ins and late checkouts. We are typically open to this if we don't have another guest arriving or leaving the same day. PLEASE NOTE: There is a cost for extra firewood and/or kindling during your stay: A bag of firewood (approx 13 pieces) will cost $20.00. Kindling (app 10 pieces) will cost $8.
