Our cabin is close to hiking ,biking, rafting , boat trips from Whittier (35 minute drive) or Seward (1.5 hour drive), gorgeous scenery, coffee shops and bakery, fine dining at several restaurants. Only 35 miles south of Anchorage is the Girdwood valley home to Alyeska Ski Resort. Our fully furnished private log home is nestled in the lush greenery of the rainforest, the quiet will relax your soul. Our cabin is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families. Our chalet is located in a treed quiet lot with peek through views of the mountains. The peacefulness of the surroundings are relaxing. The large deck with outside chairs and hot tub bring allow for everyone to have their own space. The great room has two different seating areas and coffee table for games. You will have the entire chalet at your disposal. We do not allow parties or events at our home. And we ask that there be no smoking of any kind on our property. I am available to help in booking tours and handle additional needs during your stay. I can provide suggestions for hiking trails, berry picking, outdoor wildlife viewing, and anything else that will make your trip memorable. Girdwood is a wonderful ski town at the base of Mt. Alyeska. The streets are unpaved and quiet, there are hiking trails everywhere, the brew pub and the mountain base is only 10 minutes walk . And wild life can happen at anytime. Girdwood is 40 miles of gorgeous scenery from Anchorage International Airport. There is a local shuttle, GlacierValleyTransit.com, in Girdwood to the major points in town. We are walking distance to the base of the mountain, coffee shops, The Bake Shop, Spoonline, , Double Musky, Girdwood Brewery, Jack Sprat Restaurant, and The Grind Coffee. Our kitchen is fully equipped with spices, baking needs, coffee, tea, cocoa, and other essentials. If you have a special need, such as a crab boil pot, I will try to provide it. I have provided a bicycle for use. We do not have a dishwasher, guests must wash their own dishes before departure.
