Cedar Ridge Farm - Artist/Writer Retreat

This log cabin sits on 200+ acres. It was moved to Mt Olivet, KY from a nearby county in 2000. It was reconstructed in a creative yet classic style with modern amenities. The remote location and distance from the road offers a perfect place for a retreat, and to regenerate your soul. Our parents lived here for 20 years, and the house is filled with love, warmth and memories that carry over to present day. This cabin has been a labor of love and holds a special place in our family's heart. The space Cedar Ridge Farm is 200+ acres and has multiple hiking trails, two lakes and access to several creeks including West Creek. Hiking and biking trails make it possible to experience all the land. Guest access All of the property is accessible to the guest with the exception of the barn where our private equipment is kept. All of the equipment,machinery and tools are off limits to guests. Other things to note 200+ acres offers plenty of hiking trails and two fishing lakes (2 per person). We ask that you use caution and common sense while hiking and fishing to avoid any encounters with potentially dangerous wildlife. Eastern Kentucky is home to black bears, venomous water moccasins and copperhead snakes, black widow spiders, mountain lions, and coyotes. All are dangerous if provoked. The picturesque setting of the cabin would be a perfect spot for an event but needs to be approved. Cedar Ridge Farm is 15 minutes from Blue Licks Battlefield State Park. 1 hour from The Ark Encounter and 1 hour from Paris, Kentucky which offers bourbon tours and tastings. The lovely, historic river town of Maysville is 35 minutes away and has restaurants, Rosemary Clooney's Russell Theatre and an array of other activities.
