This hideaway is waiting for you!!! The space With a spacious shared driveway and private entrance you can come and go as you please. Book with us to also get the very best boat charters the Virgin Islands have ever seen! Guest access Guests will have access to the listed unit as well as the driveway, backyard, porch area and sun/lounge deck on 1st floor. Other things to note Only the dining room, kitchen and master bedroom is equipped with AC while every other room has a ceiling fan. Our location in the hills makes the apartment perfect for receiving tradewinds and tropical breezes. TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION: As noted in our description we are located in a safe hillside neighborhood which is great for quiet and safety; however not if you want to walk to the nearest activities. So for transportation we do recommend renting a car since taxis on the island can be very expensive. As long as you or your guests are over 25 you will be allowed to rent a vehicle with a valid drivers license. However very important to keep in mind that we drive on the left in St. Thomas. This obviously can be a challenge for some; however it allows you to have the freedom to travel around the island on your time schedule this means freedom even for later hours when you are out and about. As you can imagine island living is not known for great public transportation like buses or even ubers unfortunately. If you however choose to use a taxi, we will provide our best recommendations on which service to hire as not all taxi services are the same. You will only need to pay that taxi driver directly which of course can be costly. Remember if you rent a vehicle we will of course provide turn by turn directions for you to arrive safely to OceanStar Hideaway. Please keep in mind internet can also be very choppy since the island has 1 internet provider. Even though we offer stable wifi if the internet provider goes down on the island due to weather or electricity outage we can not control that and unfortunately it can result in lack of internet access.
