Heaven on the Gulf Islands. Boat access only. The space Our 3 storey oasis home is nestled on Gambier Island, a 5 minute public B.C. water taxi from Langdale ferry terminal on the Sunshine Coast. Please note we DO NOT allow dogs or any pets. This A frame exposed beam home provides luxury and comfort while still experiencing the true west coast of the gulf islands. Complete privacy with no neighbours looking in, our home is located on an acre of manicured land surrounded by cedars and crown land. Hikes right outside our doorsteps and a 10 min walk down to beautiful beaches of your choice. Relax in one of the 4 large bedrooms featuring a Japanese jacuzzi in the master, cozy up by the fire inside, detox in our brand new cedar sauna, hang on the massive wrap around deck, let the kids jump on the trampoline and run around, have an outdoor bonfire and watch the stars, or relax in one of our two living rooms. Full wifi and roku TV alongside two separate office setups to work away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. We open the doors of our serene and tranquil home and look forward to hosting you! If you are a group of 7 or more you have to book a private water taxi getting you on and off island in 20 mins from horse shoe bay which is approx $35 per person each way. It is because the Stormaway passenger ferry is dedicated to locals who commute on and off island everyday for work. If you are a group of 6 or less, you can use the public passenger ferry from langdale or the scheduled runs with Mercury also running $35 / person each way. Gambier island is a quiet island and we ask you are respectful to all island residents :) Please note Gambier is a remote island with no groceries or stores. The home is a 15-20 min walk on a dirt road with two big hills. For this reason, most guests choose to rent our car for an additional charge. Their is one local cafe run from a home bakery and many delicious items you can pre order from two amazing local bakers. I can assist with all of your needs :) Part of your booking also goes back to the Gambier Community Center every month 💕 Guest access All spaces excluding the laundry room, garage and workshop. Master bath jacuzzi not available June-September for water conservation purposes Other things to note You cannot drive to Gambier. Groups of 6 or less can take the BC ferry to langdale then passenger ferry over to New Brighton. You can park your car at horse shoe bay or the langdale ferry terminal and walk on the B.C. ferry public water taxi which takes you to Gambier in 5 mins and costs $8/person Groups of 6 or larger need to book a private water taxi (absolutely beautiful and much easier / quicker travel over) getting you on island in 20 mins from horse shoe bay. It’s costs approximately $35 / person each way. This is because large groups cannot take up all the space on the public water taxi over as it’s prioritized for local residents daily going on / off island for work. All garbage and recycling must go off island with you as we don’t have garbage services on island. There is a dumpster at the langdale terminal or back in Horseshoe bay.
