The cottage is located in a beautiful neighbourhood just a short walk to the waterfront, where on clear evenings you’ll catch one of the most breathtaking sunsets Newfoundland has to offer. The space Eagles soar overhead, hares thump through the yard, marshmallows roast on the fire! This cottage has it all. Nestled in a safe and quiet neighborhood in the heart of Rocky Harbour, this cottage has everything you need when it comes to escaping the hustle and bustle of every day life. The cottage sits on its own private lot but is neighbouring other cottages, giving you the choice of a private backyard fire or meeting other adventurers l! ************** This property truly lets you experience Gros Morne like a local. Wake up in the morning to the sound of the birds chirping outside your window, and fix yourself a cup of coffee before heading outside onto the front porch to soak in the view of nearby mountains. The cottage has a kitchen that is equipped with everything you need to cook a delicious meal for your family. There is also a BBQ outside. If you don’t feel like cooking, there are several restaurants and cafes within walking distance (try the moose burger!). At night, head into the backyard, light a fire, roast some s’mores, and gaze up at some of the most stunningly beautiful stars the cosmos has to offer. (Gros Morne National Park is in the process of becoming a designated Dark Sky Preserve by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada.) Rest your head after a long day of kayaking, hiking or sightseeing on one of two locally made wooden double beds, fitted with crisp white linens. * We know traveling with young children can require A LOT of gear. Please let us know if that’s the case, and if there’s anything we might be able to provide to make your little one’s stay more comfortable. ** As animal lovers, we know your pets are family. That’s why we’re happy to have a pet friendly policy for RESPONSIBLE pet owners. ************** We understand your family’s health and safety are your #1 priority. It’s ours too. To help you book our property with confidence during the age Covid-19, we would like to ensure you that we have enhanced our cleaning practices to include industry-approved virus disinfectant products on all frequently touched surfaces. We also provide disinfectants and hand sanitizer for guests to use during their stay. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house, along with a beautiful and private backyard that features a fire pit and chairs for you to sit back, relax and enjoy. Other things to note We offer the following experiences, which include setup and cleanup. You can request once reservation is confirmed. Note: these are not available if requested less than 3 days before stay.
