Welcome to the Hugel Hutte! This cute little cabin is perched on the hill top. It's feels like a tree house! You have the kitchen to use, but the famous Fox & Hound's restaurant is just steps away. It's literally right next door. So grab a few drinks and dinner...and walk home to your cabin retreat for the night. Enjoy the tranquil naturescape surrounding the house. Tons of nature and the convenience of having the famous Fox and Hounds right next door. There are lots bird feeders on the neighboring hill, so lots and lots of birds. Lots of deer, turkeys, herons, hawks, ducks, and frogs. Enjoy a nice fire down the hill in a nice secluded fire pit area. Feel like a swing on a tire swing or play a game of washers, you'll have that too. Then come inside the cabin to relax in a comfy ol log cabin. Like music? The cabin is equipped with the awesome sonos sound system throughout the place. Play guitar? There is a nice one there for ya. Play the piano? There is an old upright for you to play with. Want to try banging on some djembes or try playing the didgeridoo...there is that too. You will have access to the entire place. You will love relaxing on the huge deck with incredible view. Use the grill on the deck. The cabin butts up to 50 acres of woods, so your not going to see a bunch of houses. There is the restaurant next door on one side, but once you enter the cabin you would never know. And when on the huge deck, you would never know there's a restaurant. You just see nature and a view of the another log cabin over another hill close by. In the months without leaves on the trees, you can now see a new house through the trees that was just built on top of the hill a few hundred yards away. You won't see any humans at that other cabin next door, unless they are filling some bird feeders. I see my neighbor just a handful of times in a year, so seeing them would be super super rare. Basically your submersed in nature. If you were to see them, they are the nicest people in town. Available by phone, email, or text. The area square mile surrounding the cabin feels like Upnorth Wisconsin. Your little northwoods escape just a short drive from Milwaukee. Lots of great hiking and great paddling in the area. If your a fisherman, there is a really great fishing lake just a mile away. Parking in the driveway. Note the driveway is on a hill, so in the winter months...if there is snow...it’s best to park car at the bottom and walk up. I do my best to keep the snow and ice clear before you arrive, but depending on when you arrive and if it’s currently snowing...you may find you have to hike up the driveway through some snow and ice. The driveway is only about 100 feet long. So your not walking far if you choose to park at bottom of hill. This cabin is rustic modern mix. It’s not a super posh place. Everything is not perfectly groomed. So expect some things you’d find in a really rustic cabin. And expect to find a bunch of modern home comforts. I try to make the perfect blend of old and new. Please note if you are 6ft and taller, the bathroom and kitchen have lower ceilings that may cause you to bend over a tad or a lot depending on how tall you are. Also the bedroom does not have a door. And if you are one that likes and is used to a firm bed and couch, you might not like the plush bed and couch. The cabin isn't equipped with central AC, but there is a window AC unit in the bedroom during the summer for cool sleeping if the temp doesn't drop to a comfortable temp at night.
