LAKEFRONT SECLUDED HIDEAWAY WITH PRIVATE ACCESS to LAGUNA BACALAR- Escape to your own private oasis .! Our Cabaña is the ultimate hideaway, nestled at the end of our spacious gardens and completely hidden from view. With just three villas on our 500 feet of lakefront, you'll feel like you have the entire lake to yourself. Inside, is a full size bedroom and a double futon in the living area. The kitchen fully equipped. Air conditioning. Great internet. Plus a private patio. The space - Queen bed in private bedroom, double futon sofabed in living area, linens - Full kitchen: 4-burner stove with oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, blender, pots & pans, dishes, glasses & utensils, cutting board - In-suite tiled bathroom, couple-size shower, towels - Bar and table with chairs inside, plus a table and chairs for 4 outside - Hammock inside, lounge chairs outside lakefront - A/C in bedroom and in living area, large ceiling fan, floor fan - 24/7 electricity and hot water - 20-liter tanks of drinking water, replaced as needed - Smart Tv with Netflix (access to your account needed to use) - Free wireless Internet inside and throughout most of the property - Small safe in villa - Smoking allowed only on the terrace, with an ashtray Cleaning services on request for longer stays, once per week. Guest access Guests in our three lakefront villas share access to our dock and the hammocks and lounges under its palapa. We have 3 single sit-on-top kayaks and an excellent canoe (FREE!) for exploring the laguna or paddling to our nearest favorite restaurant. Other things to note NOTE: There are 10 steps leading from the parking area down to the Cabaña. Please check our other 2 villas if you have difficulty with stairways. Check in is between 1:00 and 6:00pm, so please plan your flights and drive time accordingly. We are 4 hours south of Cancun airport, the last 2 hours of which have almost no cell signal or streetlights. We are 40 minutes from Chetumal airport, where evening flight arrivals are often delayed. You are always welcome to arrive early and relax on the dock until your villa is ready (we have a separate bathroom and changing area). On your departure day, you are welcome to enjoy the dock and laguna after checking out. Late checkout may be available. We love animals. We have six friendly dogs who like new people, especially kids. Airbnb system defaults make it look like they live in the Cabaña, but they do not! They live in our house, at the other end of the property. They spend most of their time near the house, unless you love dogs, in which case they know it and may hang out near you. They also like well-socialized dog visitors who are good with cats (we have two). If you would like to bring yours, do! But please check with us in advance. And you and pooches are always welcome to join us for the morning jungle walk! :-)
