The cabin is conveniently located between the Alyeska ski resort and the Girdwood town square (and just two blocks to Girdwood Brewing Company!). Full kitchen w/stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, ice-maker, and gas range; wifi with high speed internet, HDTV, woodburning stove (wood provided), movies, games, books, down duvets, bedside USB charging ports, pine and cedar throughout 1150 square foot cabin with a generous arctic entry for your gear, a small deck in the front, and a spacious cedar deck at the back of the cabin. The main bedroom has queen bed with en-suite bathroom (with bathtub/shower combo). Surrounded in windows, you feel like you are sleeping in the trees. The 2nd sleeping area is the loft and has a queen bed. The loft is separated from the area below by privacy drapes. Be advised that the ceilings in the loft are only 6’6” high. Please also note that the stairs to the loft are unconventional and can be difficult if not very agile. The 2nd bathroom is next to the family room and has a shower and washer/dryer, which you are welcome to use at no additional cost. We love animals, but unfortunately we do not allow pets in the cabin. Please message me directly if you have a service animal. The entire cabin is yours to enjoy! Check in is at 4pm! Check out is at 11am! Message or call anytime Made up of homes and cabins with a healthy mix of weekenders, full-time residents, and nightly rentals. While the property has many trees, there are homes on all sides of the cabin (not remote or secluded). The chalet is ideally located - walkable or a quick drive to everything in Girdwood. It is a pleasant 15 min walk up to the mountain (3 restaurants, liquor store, art gallery, Powder Hound ski shop, and ski lifts) or down the hill to town square (restaurants, coffee shop, small grocery store) - just over 1/2 a mile to each. And Anchorage Brewing Company is just two blocks away! Girdwood is an easy walking, biking, or driving town. There is a well-maintained bike path along the main road, and most spots around town have easy parking. If you’re skiing, you can park at the day-lodge, hotel, or the chair 3 lot (near Sitzmark). You can also walk two blocks to the main road and catch the shuttle (just wait on the other side of the street by the brewery driveway - there are no marked stops so watch and wave; Check the website for the current schedule: https://glaciervalleytransit.com/route-mapschedule/). While you can walk the 1/2 mile to the Daylodge, we usually find parking easily. The Hotel Alyeska (tram ride and dining) is just a mile away if you prefer to start from there. Many guests also use the cabin to day trip to Whittier, Seward, and Anchorage. We recently completed construction of a beautiful and spacious cedar deck. We hope you enjoy!
