This tiny, 8’ x 12’ cabin offers privacy for two. Conveniently located in West Fairbanks, 10 minutes from the airport, it features a loft bed, small kitchen appliances, and artistic decor, exclusive, private use of a full bathroom inside our home, completely separate from our personal area. Please read the description and photos, which are completely accurate and show the cabin as it is exactly. I am 11 years in the business and take pride giving my guests a comfortable and memorable stay! The space 11 years as a Superhost, Barn Swallow Bungalow is an an 8x12' dry "Tiny House" situated in the private corner of our one-acre wooded lot. The loft, accessible by ladder, sleeps two adults comfortably on a queen-sized mattress. A refrigerator, microwave, hot kettle and kitchen-ware provide the basics necessary for simple breakfast fare. Enjoy tasteful and unique furnishings handcrafted by the owner/artist, darkening curtains for a better nights rest during sunny summer months, and a private porch for morning coffee or evening cocktails. While the cabin does not have running water, a toilet, or an outhouse, the immaculate full bathroom is located only 40 steps away in the main house, and is private, blocked off from the house and exclusive to guests only. A heater is provided for late fall and winter months. Because the cabin is very small, the smart electric heater is monitored and controlled at a comfortable temperature by the host. With ample parking space and a private entrance and self check in you'll feel at home, but to yourself. Due to the extremely small size of the cabin and the ladder to the loft, children are not permitted with the exception of infants. *Inquiring guests must read fully the house rules on this listing and send me a message that says “I have read the house rules and I agree to abide by them,” or they will not be booked. I also require the full name of your traveling partner, when you will arrive and if you will be arriving in a vehicle. Due to the high demand here in Alaska during the summer and winter (Aurora viewing) our cancellation policy is 5 days advanced notice for a full refund (through AirBnB). Please don't hesitate to contact us for any questions! Guest access Parking for ONE vehicle is available in the front of the main house near the walk path leading to the cabin. Guests have private access to the cabin, and access to the full bathroom through our attached garage. Bathroom use is exclusive to guests only, and is not shared during your stay. The hallway is blocked off from the main living area of the house for privacy for guests. The main home, including, but not limited to the kitchen, living room, dining room, outdoor living area (deck) and laundry facilities are not available to guests. We will be happy to provide you with clean kitchen-ware and drinking water daily during your stay or as needed. Other things to note THE HOUSE RULES: House rules must be read by guests upon arrival as well as the guest check-out check list. All guests are required to abide by these rules or they will not be refunded the $100 security deposit. THE LADDER: The sleeping area in the cabin is a small loft accessible by a very sturdy, but small ladder. Persons with injuries or any other ailment that may prevent you from climbing the ladder to the bed may want to reconsider this booking. THE CABIN SLEEPS ONLY 2: Since the cabin is only equipped to sleep 2 people in the loft, we regret that we do not offer the space to more than two adults. THE BATHROOM IS STEPS AWAY INSIDE THE HOUSE: The bathroom is located inside the main house, only 40 steps from the entrance of the cabin to the bathroom door through the garage. It should be noted there is another small set of stairs from the garage to the bathroom area (please see photo). We sadly no longer have cats on our property.
