Room with private bathroom #2 Isla de Flores

We are located in the heart of Isla de Flores, a small island in Lake Petén Itzá with dozens of Mayan sites nearby - the most popular being Tikal (only 60km away). Our residence is a home in traditional style - bedrooms surrounding a courtyard. The roof offers terrific views of the lake, neighboring San Miguel, sunsets, and moonrises. We can help you find entertainment, restaurants, and activities from a local's perspective. Plus, we are bilingual. The space While we love the island, there are unexpected noises at times: birthday fireworks, music, local marching bands, dogs, birds, construction. Guest access Each guest has a private bedroom with attached bathroom. The bedroom has a newly installed Air Conditioning unit - super helpful after exploring Mayan ruins in hot and humid Petén. Guests also share a full kitchen, dining area, and living room. We provide drinking water and access to our washing machine. Guests also have access to the roof for drying clothes and enjoying the panoramic view. Please stay off the second floor, however, so as not to disturb other residents. During your stay All of our co-hosts live on site (two doctors and a web developer). That means someone is always available to assist with check-in and any questions/issues that may arise. Other things to note Whenever we travel, we prefer local hangouts over tourist traps. We're happy to share our local perspective on Flores. We have established a few house rules: 1) Do not bring in outside guests. 2) Please turn off TV and AC unit when leaving room. 3) Although we encourage guests to enjoy the roof (great view), the second floor is off-limits as we have residents living there.
