Description

Renovated loft apartment in downtown Juneau with sweeping views of Gastineau Channel and the mountains of Douglas Island. An open floor plan, high ceilings, 100-year old wood beams, an upstairs loft, granite counters and tile in the bathroom all add to the ambience of this centrally located executive apartment. Washer and dryer in the unit. The space Juneau's historic Hellenthal Building was built in 1916 during Juneau's mining heyday. The entire building underwent a two-year renovation in 2017-2018. The upstairs loft is divided by one of the 100-year-old beams. At the top of the stairs is a king-size bed. If you don't mind ducking under the beam, there is a small cozy sitting area between the beam and the railing. Downstairs is a queen-sized bed in the open sleeping area, and the sofa in the living room opens into a full size bed. A front-loading washer and dryer are located in the bathroom. Most people don't come to Juneau to watch TV, but just in case there is a 65" UHD flat screen downstairs. Guest access The entire apartment. Other things to note This apartment is up one flight of stairs, and also has stairs inside the apartment to the loft. Like most of downtown Juneau, we do not have our own parking spaces. Most of our guests with cars use the convenient city-owned parking lot at 2nd and North Franklin, on the uphill side of the Baranof Hotel. This lot costs 75 cents per hour during business hours and is free evenings and weekends. Overnight parking is allowed during the summer months. Children are welcome, but our windows open high above the street below. Parents should use discretion. The entire apartment has an open layout. There are no enclosed bedrooms with closing doors. This place might not be suitable for groups with individuals requiring privacy. Registration Details CBJ1000333
