The spacious main floor, with an open plan kitchen, living room, and dining room, is tastefully decorated in island style. Large glass folding doors open onto the covered gallery and plunge pool, which has a stunning 180 degree view of the Caribbean Sea. Local mahogany furniture, tiled floors, ceiling fans, hurricane lamps, hanging lanterns and screened-in wooden louvered windows add to the local ambience. Each of the four bedrooms is furnished with handcrafted mahogany beds that are made up with luxury bedding and mosquito netting. Large armoires with drawers, full closets, bedside tables with reading lamps, ceiling fans, screened-in windows and unique artwork make these large bedrooms very practical, comfortable and romantic. Air-conditioning is rarely needed, but can be programmed automatically and individually. The outdoor dining and conversation areas are furnished with plenty of teak and sea grass pieces. The centrally located infinity edge plunge pool and sunning deck are a relaxing alternative to a day at the beach. They provide a lovely spot for a cold rum punch, a good book, or a night of stargazing. The large, grassy yard has many tropical plants including fruit and palm trees, and a large mango tree that attracts the small Nevisian Vervet monkey. Hummingbirds and Morning Doves flit in and out of the flowering bushes providing quiet moments for observing nature. Dining Room: Lovely dining area in great room, & alfresco dining on covered verandah. Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen w/seating for 6 at the kitchen table, & a counter seating 3 more on rattan stools. Living Room: Ceiling Fan, Cathedral ceiling w/pickled beams, handmade Nevisian mahogany couch & chairs, opens onto stunning view & pool. Powder room/half bath off great room. Terrace: Outdoor covered verandah w/dining for 8 at large teak table, w/additional seating for 4 on cushioned seagrass loveseat & chairs. Pool: Infinity plunge pool on main level with lounge chairs for subbing. Guests have access to the entire property. The house, pool and grounds are private. Upon booking, you will be connected with our home manager on the island who will meet you at arrival, give you house keys, and answer any questions. She can help arrange car rentals or transportation if needed. We can arrange to have the refrigerator stocked and/or a have a local cook prepare dinner. We are also available by email to answer questions/ provide vacation recommendations. Located in a quiet neighborhood on the mountain side.
