Welcome to King Island! Enjoy beautiful sunrises and sunsets on your own private Lake of the Woods Island, located east of Kenora in Bigstone Bay. This property features a unique blend of modern design and traditional comfort. The 3.5 acre private island is all yours to explore! Featuring 3 cabins, a sauna, gazebo, fire pit and a new sunset lounge and bar room all linked by boardwalk. The space New for 2025 - sunset view 3-season lounge and bar area New cabin 2024: New spacious kitchen featuring quartz countertops, a large island/breakfast bar and a dining table for 10. The new cabin also features a large greatroom, 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom and a washer and dryer. Additional comforts include air-conditioning units, a wood stove and a screened in sunroom Log cabin: Hand-hewn log cabin featuring 2 queen bedrooms and a loft space with a double and a twin bed. The cabin includes a half bath and a shower room. Our comfortable living room features a new wood burning stove and a 49" TV. There are decks on two sides with amazing views of the lake. We also have two kayaks available to explore the lake. Guest cabin: hand-hewn log cabin featuring a king size bed, a twin daybed (with trundle) and an ensuite bathroom. The guest cabin also includes a wood burning stove and a covered front porch with lake views. Additional information: - Lakeside sauna and deck (new in 2023) - All new docks, parking for 2 boats. - Boathouse with power, parking for 1 boat in boathouse and 1 on side. - Lakeside screened-in gazebo and fire pit - Rocky shore which changes into sand after 1 meter - Wifi in main cabins - Gas BBQ - Please bring your own sheets and towels Guest access Main cabin, guest cabin, new cabin, sauna, gazebo and dock. Entire private island. Other things to note Guests need to bring their own sheets and towels for their stay! Please also bring drinking water. The new cabin has treated drinking water and an ice machine. The log cabins do not have drinkable water. There is a water cooler available for your use. Minimum 7 day stays in July and August You must have a boat to access the island Please note that the island is not available during the winter
