Island Pine Villas is a 40 Unit complex that sits right in the heart of Seven Mile Beach. Our condo has been updated and upgraded to meet the needs of our guests and make you feel like it is your home away from home! Our renovated kitchen has Whirlpool stainless steel appliances, custom cabinets and is fully stocked with cookware, cutlery and dinnerware. The space The living room is a comfortable place to bring the family to relax. Watching a movie or playing games, there is enough seating and space for everyone, yet is quite cozy! The comfortable sofa features a comfortable queen sized pull out mattress. The bathroom has been updated to include beautiful brand new tile work, glass door shower, sink and toilet. You can retreat to the master bedroom with its king sized bed and black out curtains - you'll get that much needed R&R on your vacation! Just up the stairs, the open loft overlooks the living room and includes a queen sized bed with matching dresser and bed side table with extra storage. We have also provided everything else you need to make your vacation as relaxing and enjoyable as possible including: beach and bath towels as well as pillows and bedding for all three beds. Island Pine Villas also provides those staying on the property a pool, which is usually quiet during the week as most tenants are long term renters and work during the day. The pool area has pergolas and hammocks to provide shade and relaxation just steps away from the beach. On the property is a coin operated laundromat for our guests to use (or there are quite a few pick up and delivery laundry services on island to use at your discretion). Just steps away from the pool you have direct access to Seven Mile Beach. From the access to the miles of pristine beach, you can walk up or down to one many of the beach bars for a refreshing beverage or stop by one of the water sports company huts to book jet skis, paddle boards or even a scuba excursion. We are just as excited to have you stay with us as you are to get your vacation started. This Welcome Guide will give you everything you need to get settled in to your vacation, answer any questions you may have and even give you tips about our condo and the island!   If you are unable to print this guide off before you depart for the island, here is the most important information to write down… you will need it for your immigration forms given to you on the plane and you will want our contact information just in case:   Island Pines #6   Island Pine Villas   West Bay Road, Seven Mile Beach Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands   [1345 926-5846] sarahparchie@gmail.com]    To get to our condo, there is no need to rent a car! Our condo is situated right in the heart of Seven Mile Beach, which means all of the best beaches, beach bars and restaurants are within walking distance or short taxi ride away. A taxi will take you straight to our condo from the airport, about a twelve minute drive. Taxis accept cash only - US Dollars or Cayman Dollars.  There is an ATM at the airport if you should need to take out cash.     Directions      If you decide to rent a car during your stay, you will need to know how to get to our condo!    The Google Maps Directions attached will take you to the Beach Bar/Restaurant directly next to the condo complex called Royal Palms.  You will see a pink sign for Island Pine Villas just before you get to Royal Palms.  There is limited parking in front of the complex itself.  However, we have an agreement with Royal Palms that allows our guests to park alongside the white wall in their parking lot adjacent to Island Pines (on the left hand side of the Royal Palms parking lot).  Feel free to park either in front of the complex or in Royal Palms at the designated spots.   If you enter the complex from the front parking lot, follow the sidewalk to the first set of stairs.  We are the door to the right, just up the stairs!  It is labeled as Unit 6. If you are parking at Royal Palms, you will want to walk through the small barrier and head left towards the road (not to the beach quite yet!)   We will meet you at the condo to introduce ourselves, make sure you get in the condo, give you your set of keys and make sure to answer any questions you may have!  For your convenience, we have also installed a real estate lock to the front door.  If for any reason we cannot meet you for your arrival to the condo, you can access your set of keys in the real estate lock.  The combo for the lock is available.  You can use the real estate lock to leave the set of keys at the condo to allow all of your guests to come and go at their leisure.  If you require more than one set of keys, please let us know in advance.  For your security, there are two separate locks with their respective keys to get through the front door to the patio and then to open the sliding glass door to the inside of the condo.   Please make note: Check In time is 4:00pm and Check Out time is 11:00am.  If you need to arrive earlier or depart later, please let us know as soon as you can.  We will do our best to accommodate your request.   The Condo   ● We have set the air condition to 80F but you are free to adjust as you wish, we just ask that you keep the windows and doors closed while the AC is turned on.   ● The water from the tap is drinkable!! The ice maker in the freezer is safe to use also!   ● All electrical outlets are North American standard.   ● If you are in need of baby stuff, other beach items we have not provided, bicycles, etc.  you can rent these items for your stay from a great company called Empty Suitcases.  They will drop off to the condo for your arrival and collect the items once the rental period is over.  Their contact information:  o website:  www.emptysuitcases.com o phone: 1-345-527-9683 or 1-345-916-0318 ● Here is some info for you about our condo:   o Wireless internet is free of charge!   o Network ID: Island Pine V6 ; Passcode: 2ea653f0  o We have provided all of the pillows and bedding you will need for your stay, including linens for the Queen-sized pull out bed in the living room. Pillows and blankets for that bed are located in the hallway closet just before you enter the master bedroom.   o Bath and beach towels are also provided!  We provide enough bath and beach towels for the number of guests you book with us.  If you choose to do laundry, we only ask that you please do not wash them together.  A coin operated laundry facility is located just next to the pool on the condo complex.  There are also pickup and delivery services for laundry if you choose to use.  If you need more assistance with laundry while you are staying with us, give us a call!   o We have provided you with a cell phone to use during your stay on island. It has internet capability and can make local and international calls.  Our phone numbers are programmed in the phone as well as a couple of taxi numbers.  If you would like to use the phone during your stay, you can top up the phone with credit at any Digicel location on island or gas station. Close to the condo is a Digical store in Camana Bay or in town.  You can also top up online at: www.digicelcayman.com.    o Electric hair dryer is in the bathroom under the sink.   o We have also provided a hand held steamer, iron and ironing board for your clothes.  Dry cleaning is available through one of the professional cleaning services on island listed on the last page of this guide.   o We provide you with: one set of linens per bed, one set of bath towels per person and one beach towel per person.  We do supply some laundry detergent and dryer sheets if you should want to have clean towels/linens during your stay (or you can use a laundry service as stated in this guide)   o We also provide you with some of the basics: a few rolls of toilet paper, one roll of paper towel, a box of tissues, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent pods and a handful of dryer sheets.  Any replacements of these listed above can be purchased aty the grocery store.  Two (one each to the left and right of the main road the condo is located at) are located within a five minute car/cab/bus ride from the condo.   o Five sets of snorkel gear are located in the hall closet.  More snorkel gear and beach items can be rented from Empty Suitcases or any of the water sports companies along Seven Mile Beach.      ● As stated above, bath and beach towels are provided, but please wash them separately as the color from the beach towels may ruin other items in the wash with them if you choose to do laundry during your stay with us.   ● There is a pool on the complex property for use as well as hammocks and pergolas providing a place for shade and relaxation.   ● You have full public access to Seven Mile Beach directly across from the pool…don’t forget to take your towels! There are beach chairs directly in front of the Island Pine Villas property, however they do belong to Royal Palms who may charge you for use. (Just a heads up!)   ● Please – NO SMOKING in our unit. You can smoke on the patio, provided keep the patio clean of ash and butts. You may also smoke outside or on the beach.   All we ask is you trash any cigarette butts…please, do not litter!   ● The dumpster is shared with the neighboring condo complex, Seagull.  If you walk down the stairs, turn left, walk down the sidewalk to the pool and make another left, across the pool you will find a gated off area with a sign indicating the dumpsters location.  Our complex now offers recycling for certain materials.  Please use the small trash can in the condo for your recyclables.  When you take out the trash during your stay, there are designated bins for recyclable materials.   ● We have a professional cleaning service to prepare the condo in between guests to ensure the condo is clean and prepped for your arrival.  If you require cleaning services during your stay, you can schedule with the cleaning service: Ropers 345-949-2511 or you can email: roperjanitorial@candw.ky.   To Do  ● Seven Mile Beach has some amazing snorkeling sites!  To see the most ocean wildlife, some of the better places to snorkel are Cemetery Beach (further up Seven Mile, past Calico Jacks Beach Bar) and in town, Eden Rock who also provides scuba gear – www.edenrockdive.com   ● Along the way to East End, you can stop at the natural blow holes - http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g147365-d149253-ReviewsBlow_Hole s-Grand_Cayman_Cayman_Islands.html    ● Rum Point and Kaibo Yacht Club on the eastern side of the island are also great spots to hit up for a quiet, relaxing day on the beach.  Near Rum Point is Starfish Point – where you can wade through shallow waters and observe the sometimes hundreds of starfish that come through this part of the island - http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g147365-d1738429-ReviewsStar_Fish _Point-Grand_Cayman_Cayman_Islands.html.    ● Many of the hotels along Seven Mile Beach have Red Sail Sports offices where you can rent jetskis, hop on a catamaran sunset cruise, or you can even get a boat out to Stingray City.  This is the #1 thing to do on island, and is also a very fun and unique experience!  www.redsailcayman.com or Captain Marvin’s also takes people out to  Stingray City – http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g147365-d4279510Reviews-Captain_Marvin-Gra nd_Cayman_Cayman_Islands.html       ● If you scuba dive, we have some of the best diving waters in the world.  There are quite a few diving companies in town and along Seven Mile Beach.  Most of the diving companies provide scuba certification classes for those interested in learning/becoming certified to dive while on island!   ● A great place to go for families is the Turtle Farm located in West Bay https://www.turtle.ky/.  Up in West Bay near the Turtle Farm there are also two dolphin encounter experiences if you ever wanted to swim with the dolphins – Dolphin Discovery and Dolphin Cove.      Restaurants      ● Directly next to the condo is the Royal Palms Beach Bar – https://royalplamscayman.com/ - They have a beach bar, beach chairs, pool and an upstairs restaurant.    ● Directly across from the Marriott is a great restaurant called Craft Food and  Beverage Co.  If you go, ask for Jason and tell him you are staying at our condo. He will give you a discount! [Jason is giving us business cards for a free appetizer for each guest’s stay]   ● There are so many great restaurants within walking distance/short taxi ride away from our condo!  We have stocked the condo with maps and local magazines that highlight the best restaurants on island.   ● Brunch is a huge Sunday staple in Cayman.  Most restaurants and hotels on island  offer all you can eat brunch with bubbles.  We do suggest calling ahead to reserve a table at any place you decide on for brunch.  Some of the best brunches are just minutes away from our condo http://www.caymangoodtaste.com/pagecategory.asp?cat=34    ● There is just about something for everyone when it comes to nightlife events here in Cayman.  Our island has many bars and clubs that have unique, themed nights including Rock ‘n Roll Bingo at Lonestar, and Karaoke with a live band at Whiskey Mist.  For a complete list of bars and clubs on island visit - http://www.caymangoodtaste.com/bars.asp   ● There are over 150 restaurants on island, with many of them just outside our door.
