Our downtown Gallup home is a short walk to Route 66, art galleries, and fantastic restaurants that Gallup has to offer. Unbelievable hiking and biking at your fingertips. We know you'll enjoy Gallup. The house is downtown so within walking distance to the downtown restaurants, galleries, and trading posts. The La Montanita Co-op grocery store is a short walk away and bigger grocery stores are a quick drive away. Each Saturday in the summer, there is a small farmer's market in town, too, that is a perfect stop for your fresh fruits and veggies! The yoga studio, fitness center, and a spa (which I am sure would be luxurious after a long day of travel!) are all a short walk away. The best Gallup attraction is the Indian Dances at City Hall every summer night at 7pm. The house is, again, just a short walk away! Sometimes you'll even hear the music from the front porch! The house is convenient to I-40; just 1 mile from the I-40 exit; between exits 20 and 22. Gallup is a great jumping-off-point for travels in the Southwest. The house is within a day-trip drive to the Grand Canyon, Canyon de Chelley, Albuquerque, Durango, Mesa Verde, Zuni, and many other great vacation spots. The Amtrak station is within walking distance (0.4 miles away). The Greyhound drop off is 6 miles away. Please do note that Gallup does not have easy taxi, Uber, or Lyft.. Gallup has an Enterprise car rental that offers free pick-up and drop-off. The Gallup Express bus service has the routes and schedules on their website. There are several downtown bus stops that are an easy walk from the house.
