This beachfront studio cabana, slightly set back from the water, offers a bit more privacy and boasts a larger deck, perfect for enjoying the beautiful Caribbean Sea and reef views. Built with beautiful hardwood floors and simple island-style décor, this cabana embraces the spirit of relaxed, off-the-grid island living. The fully equipped kitchen gives you everything you need for home-cooked meals, while the outdoor BBQ grill in the yard is available for a casual island cookout. Enjoy a comfortable queen-size bed, private hot and cold shower, and a personal safe for your valuables. Like Carolyn’s House, this cabana was also intentionally built without air conditioning or TV. Instead, let the cool Caribbean trade winds flow through the house, keeping the space naturally fresh and comfortable. Unplug, unwind, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean and rustling coconut trees. Step onto the larger deck, furnished with hammocks and outdoor chairs, offering an ideal spot for morning coffee, evening drinks, or simply soaking in the stunning sea views. The beachfront area offers lounge chairs for sunbathing. Please note: Swimming is not recommended directly in front of the property due to natural sea conditions and wildlife, but The Split—Caye Caulker’s popular swimming spot—is just a short walk away. About the Owners Mark and Carolyn purchased this special property over 25 years ago, marrying on-site before building any cottages. After years of enjoying the island, they built both Carolyn’s House and later Carolyn’s Other House, giving travelers from around the world the chance to experience authentic island living in a peaceful, beachfront setting. Whether you’re relaxing on the deck, preparing a local meal, or watching the sunrise over the reef, Carolyn’s Other House offers the perfect escape for singles or couples seeking simplicity and sea views. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entire beachfront cabana, including the larger private deck with hammock and outdoor seating. Enjoy full use of the fully equipped kitchen, private outdoor hot and cold shower The beachfront area in front of the house is also available for guest use, with beach chairs provided for relaxing and sunbathing. Shared with Carolyn's House Guest. A shared BBQ grill is available in the yard for outdoor cooking. Please note: While the beachfront is great for relaxing and enjoying the view, swimming is not recommended directly in front of the property. For swimming, we recommend visiting The Split, just a short walk away. Guests will have complete privacy inside the house, but the property is shared with Carolyn’s House, a second cottage located little more to the front on the same lot. We respect your privacy but are available if you need assistance during your stay. Other things to note No Air Conditioning or TV: Carolyn’s Other House was intentionally designed without A/C or television to allow guests to fully enjoy the natural island breeze, sounds of the sea, and unplugged island living. Cooling Trade Winds: The location and design of the cabana take advantage of the constant Caribbean trade winds, making the space naturally cool and comfortable. Private but Not Isolated: The property includes two cottages (Carolyn’s House and Carolyn’s Other House). Each is separate and private, but guests should expect to occasionally see others in the shared yard or beach area. Swimming: The beachfront is perfect for relaxing, sunbathing, and enjoying the view, but not recommended for swimming due to natural sea conditions and wildlife. For safe swimming, The Split is just a short walk away. Water Conservation: As with all island properties, freshwater is precious. We kindly ask guests to help us conserve water during their stay. Outdoor Living: Island life means occasional visits from geckos, birds, and other harmless wildlife—part of the authentic tropical experience! Grocery & Dining: Shops and restaurants are just a short walk away, making it easy to stock up on essentials or sample local cuisine.
