This is a cute little cottage built in the 1930's on the Williamson River. Down river, there are trout in it for fishing, catch and release only, anyone over 12 must have a license to fish. The deck at the back of the house is partially covered. The river is also great for playing, swimming (a little cold in spring) and for kayaking. There is a kayak rental store in town. The air is usually warm, 70's & 80's, on summer afternoons. There are stairs to enter the cottage. Great place to relax. There is a large gravel driveway with plenty of room to park in front of the cottage. There is a full kitchen, bedroom with two beds (one twin XL, one full), a living room with a sofa bed (has a queen size air mattress), bathroom with tub & shower and safety grab bars (recently remodeled). Roku TV in living room. You will have access to the cottage, deck, dock and river. The cottage has a full kitchen so you can prepare your own meals. There is a gas grill available on the deck. There is a Roku TV with streaming service, internet and WiFi. If you have TV apps such as Hulu, Amazon, Paramount, etc., you may log into them using your own sign in and password. Be sure to log back out so no one can else can use your apps. I try to greet all my guests. I do leave the house sometimes, so if I do not great you, I may just be away for a short time. I live in the house next door. I can be reached by phone any time and have assistants a few miles down the road if any problems arise. There are many homes along the river (all are private). The area is only a little over 2 miles from Downtown Chiloquin. The town has three small grocery/convenience stores, a few restaurants, a wonderful hardware store (the old fashioned kind with everything), a tourist information and local art center, laundromat, kayak rental store and some other small businesses. There is a casino just a few miles down highway 97 toward Klamath Falls. There are many other attractions in the area, including other rivers, hiking trails, parks, and lots of trees. Many of the roads are gravel so there is a lot of dust. Bring mosquito repellent for the evenings if you plan to be outside. Unfortunately there is no public transportation available. Visitors need to have a personal vehicle. There is parking in town for visiting the local businesses. There are also parking areas at the parks and other area attractions. It is possible to walk from River Haven to the town, however it is a long walk, over 2 miles. All the residents in the area are very nice, but please do not disturb them unless there is an emergency. I live in the house next door. If you need anything or have questions, please come over and knock loudly on the door. Or call me on my phone. You will hear trains going through the area all the time (across the river). They do not stop in Chiloquin.
