Situated on a hillside area, the rental boasts a breathtaking view of St. Croix. Except for occasional noise from distant areas, the area is typically very quiet. It is a one-of-a-kind setting where individuals can unwind/work without interruption. Notably, special discount is offered to Soldiers/Mil Ret/Vets, & Ret Guests. Teachers/Emer Svc Workers are also welcome. For 30+ days stay, guests will have “Free” access to the laundry room. Laundry room hrs will be provided upon arrival. The space I try to list important information for guests to be aware of their expectations and surroundings. Since, I don’t like surprises, I try my best to extend the same to my guests. If you need clarification about anything listed below please do not hesitate to contact me via the Airbnb platform: The rental space is located downstairs of my home. It is the guest's private area. For clarification purposes. The rental is not a separate house on the property. It is a part of my home. It is similar to a hotel-style setting since there is no kitchen or living room area in the rental. There is a designated space with a mini-refrigerator, microwave, etc., for the guests to utilize. A coffee pot is also available for coffee lovers to make their own coffee. Guests also have their own porch area, and there is a shared deck that can also be utilized. The space is always clean and extremely comfortable for guests to relax during their stay. An additional Military Discount will be applied to all bookings for Soldiers (Active or M-Day), Military Retirees, and Veterans with a valid ID Card. Please present your own individual ID Card. Let me know your status on the special offer. A special rate will also be offered to all returning customers. Discounted rates are considered for teachers, nurses, doctors, and emergency workers who wants to book the rental for more than 15+ days. Local rate may be applicable for visitors from the other Virgin Islands, but it will only be applicable if the current rate at the time of booking supersedes the local rate. Contact me via Airbnb for rate information. I do make exception for children to stay at the rental, but it will be at the guest own risk since the rental is not fully childproof. Individuals who desire further information or clarification can contact me via the Airbnb platform. Pet clarification: I do allow small dogs to stay with the guest/guests, but they must have a cage for them to sleep in. Pets sleeping on the beds is not allowed. An additional charge will be implemented if pet hair is found on either of the beds, or if an excessive amount of hair is found throughout the rental. No mid, large, or oversized pets are allowed in the rental. Pet Fee is applicable. St. Croix is known for having millipedes (aka “gongolos”) all over the island, especially when it’s their season. The season for them seemed to have changed as of 2024, and they may be around anytime throughout the year. They may be seen on a regular basis from as early as May, and they can be a nuisance to individuals who do not know what they are. The exterminators do not have a treatment to get rid of them, but they do apply various methods to help control them, so please keeps the doors close to avoid them from getting inside the rental. I do my best to sweep them up around the exterior areas upstairs of the house during the day and at the early evening hours. They are seen more frequently at nights than during the daytime hours. I do realize that most guests are on the island for vacation purposes, but you can help in keeping them away from the front porch section of the rental by just sweeping them away especially since they usually die by early morning. If you keep them on the porch floor, they will just continue to accumulate there unless if I do go downstairs, within your rental space, to sweep them from the porch. The rental space has 2 A/C units (1 in each room), please turn them off when leaving from the rental, or when it’s not necessary. To begin with, we have some of the best island breeze in St. Croix, and it has the tendency of keeping any space cool enough that you might just forget about the A/C for a while. Secondly, electricity is very “pricey” in the Virgin Islands; therefore, if the rule is not being observed by the guests then an additional daily fee of $10 per unit, or $60 wkly fee per unit will be added to the guest bill, so please take note of the requirement. Self check-in is available with keyless entry. Guests will be provided an unlock code for the door, and it’s usually sent out about an hour prior to arrival. A microwave and mini-refrigerator are available for guests' personal usage in a separate area of the rental, but no storage of trash is allowed in that area. Trash cans are located in the rental, but they are not for the storage of food items. There are larger trash bins located upstairs in the yard area for guests to utilize. Please clean up after yourself because bugs and critters have their own ways of getting into homes where food is being stored. A coffeepot is available for usage upon request by the guest/guests. It is not being stored in the rental because it is a less frequently used item utilized by the guests. Beach towels are available for guests to utilize at their convenience. Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, etc.), hand sanitizer, hand soap, and towels are available for guest usage. The laundry room is for my personal use, but if any guest wishes to utilize the washer and dryer then a fee will be charged to compensate for the utilities. The space is not catered for guests, but it is clean, and you will accomplish your task. A fee of $ 3.00 for the washer, and $ 1.50 for the dryer will be charged, and that cost will be for each load. Please have your own washing products to wash and dry your clothes, and be honest about the number of loads that you will be washing. For security reasons, I am requesting that all guests who does not have a photo on their Airbnb Profile to provide me with a picture of him/herself as well as for all other guests who will be staying at the rental during their stay. The photos must be provided within 72 hrs of the reservation. As it pertains to individuals who do not wish to comply with the photo requirement: Airbnb Personnel will be contacted because the reservation will be cancel. Guest access There is an open deck, and a BBQ Grill on the property that the guests can utilize. Please clean the grill after usage or a cleaning fee will be charged prior to check-out. Grill cleaner spray will be provided upon request. Netflix is available “free of charge” for guests entertainment. No grilling after 9pm because of the smoke, but the side burner can be utilized anytime for cooking purposes. Guests with reservations for 30+ days will have “Free Laundry Access”. Guest must have his/her own washing supplies to wash their clothing items. Only clothing items are allowed in the washing machine and/or dryer. If either the washing machine or dryer is utilized to wash/dry other items (i.e. sneakers, bags, etc) then the guest/guests will no longer have “free access” to the laundry room during his/her stay. Other things to note An additional 10% Military Discount will be applied to all bookings for Soldiers (Active or M-Day), Military Retirees, and Veterans with a valid ID Card. The discount will also be applied to all returning guests bookings. Discounted rates are also considered for Teachers, and Emergency Services Workers with a Valid ID Card for 15+ days stay. The property is equipped with a solar system that automatically switches to battery power at night. We kindly request that you manage power usage during nighttime hours, as excessive consumption can cause the battery to shut down when it reaches a certain percentage. Please note that the local utility company on the island is not very reliable, and if the solar system switches to the utility grid during nighttime hours and then their power shuts off, there will be no power until one of the systems comes back online. Therefore, we kindly request that you utilize power wisely during nighttime hours to preserve energy and to avoid such issues. For instance, if a room is not being utilized, please keep the A/C unit for that room off to conserve energy, as this can go a long way with the energy consumption.
