Casita Boveda, Located in Heart of Historic SMA
Description
Welcome to Casita Boveda! "Boveda" is an architectural term used to describe the arched ceilings that are comprised of hand-laid artisan bricks. Open since 2015, this newly constructed upstairs apartment is located just 10 minutes walking distance to the center of town. Casita Boveda is filled with natural sunlight and wonderfully decorated with your comfort in mind. Note: This is a second-floor unit. The space Casita Boveda offers two ample bedrooms, 1 Bedroom with a queen size bed and 1 bedroom with sofa bed, double size. Both bedrooms with a flat screen TV, desk, built-in closet, wall-mounted air conditioning/heating, and tiled bathroom with shower. The separate kitchen is complete with new appliances, dishes, glassware and dining area for four persons. You will enjoy the partially covered terrace complete with outdoor grill, sink, patio table, chairs and umbrella. There is a full laundry downstairs and housekeeping service one day per week. Note: This is a second-floor unit. Guest access The bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, balcony and terrace of Casita Boveda on the second floor are open to our guests. Other things to note Long-term renters (over a month) will be responsible for the cost of refilling propane/gas. This relates to the propane gas used for cooking, apartment heating, and terrace space heaters. Recently we have been asked about drinking water options: - Our home's tap water is filtered through two systems (activated carbon and ultraviolet filters), so we’ve had guests drink it directly from the tap. - We have a dispenser that fits a 5 gallon jug. You will need to pre-order the jug. - Purchase water in a store on San Antonio Abad to the left immediately as you exit the house, and then on the parallel street Beneficiencia, on the intersection with San Rafael (close to the church). There is also a store on Insurgentes (two streets over to the right as they exit the house main door), which is 5-10 min away (up Calejon de Los Muerters for 5 min, and then to the left to Insurgentes, and up that street 2 min, on the left side of the street). HOUSEKEEPING Your housekeeper does not speak English. Her work schedule is Tuesday 9:00am-2:00pm. The housekeeper will take care of the laundry of the house (not personal laundry), as well as clean bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms. TIPPING: If you are particularly pleased, any amount will be greatly appreciated. CHARGES FOR STAFF OVERTIME: If you wish the housekeeper to help with buying groceries, doing your laundry, or any other reasonable chores, the charges are: 2:00pm-8:00pm, $100 pesos per hr. 8:00pm-11:00pm, $140 pesos per hr.
