Northern Slice of Heaven

The guest room is a private half bath. Shared entry, kitchen and shower washroom. The house sits in a great quirky neighbourhood on the edge of Yellowknife's Downtown (10 minute walk) and 15-minute walk to Old Town. Close to the Nova Inn(4-minute walk) where many companies pick up/drop off for their tours. It’s a cozy home away from home. Good for couples and solo adventurers. If you do not like cats and dogs, this is not the place for you. Animal lovers are very welcome!! The space There are two guests rooms. But this room is an ensuite with a 1/2 bath. On the edge of downtown on a quiet and safe street. 15-minute walking distance to all the highlights in Old town and downtown, including the Back Bay Ice Falls, Pilot’s monument, the Snow Castle on the lake (in March), and Yellowknife's best known restaurants. Wifi and a television in the room for streaming your favourite programs. Travelling with more than 2? The second room is for solo travellers and can be opened for one additional guest upon request. (Search for The Nest in Yellowknife) Many tour companies pick up at the house or at the Nova Inn - a 4 to 6 minute walk from the property. Guest access Shared kitchen, living room and shower. This is a home away from home. Your guest room offers great privacy (including a half bath) if you want to be alone, and the living room and kitchen are shared with me, your host, and occasionally another guest (see “the Nest” on Air BnB for solo travellers) Guests can use the kitchen to prepare meals and eat. Coordinate with the host and other guests. Do not eat meals in the guest rooms. Snacks are fine, but please eat meals at the dining table in the kitchen. Please clean up the kitchen after every use. During your stay I like interacting with guests and can orient you for the activities you are interested in. I am also very active and come and go quite a bit. On occasion guests have joined me on my hikes and walks, and it’s been nice to share what I love about Yellowknife. Other things to note There are two separately booked guest rooms at this location. I am your host, Meta, and am close by, either in the studio on the property or an 8-minute walk away. DeNiro the cat is an integral part of the household. He does not go into the guest room unless you invite him in. Breza is the dog and often comes and goes with me.
