Whether you seek a nook to escape to or room to gather all together, this expansive and historic farmhouse offers the chance to do so in comfort. Highlights include multiple working fireplaces and a piano, with plenty of space to lounge by either, as well as an expansive library. The formal dining room has a 10 foot table, and the kitchen is well-equipped to support it. Pool season is Memorial Day - Labor Day. The space The house has nearly 5,000 square feet across four levels, giving everyone ample room to spread out and relax. The kitchen is fully stocked and features a double oven as well as a full sized wine fridge. Towels and linens are provided; we offer 100% linen sheets and duvets for all beds. High speed internet with wi-fi. Washer and Dryer are offered. Pack-n-Play, high chairs, baby bathtub and assorted toys are available. Sleeping arrangements: There are five bedrooms, three on the second floor and two on the third floor. The breakdown of beds is as follows: Second floor: Bedroom #1 - Primary bedroom with queen bed, daybed, separate dressing room, and en suite bathroom Bedroom #2 - Bedroom with queen bed along with a daybed (twin or king); can sleep a total of 4 people. A down-topped feather bed is available for the daybed. Bedroom #5 - Set up as a sitting room that can also function as a bedroom for 2 people. There is a daybed and a pull-out twin sleeper sofa. Third floor: Bedroom #3 - Two queen beds Bedroom #4 - Queen bed Guest access Guests will have all access to all areas of the house. The large driveway allows for parking for multiple cars. The barns, built in the 1790's and 1890's, are historic but should not be entered. Other things to note POOL: The pool is located behind the house in a fenced-in area that can be locked if needed. It is a chlorinated pool. Depth is between 3-4 feet in the shallow end and around 8 feet in the deep end. Pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. We will typically keep the pool open after Labor Day, weather permitting, but availability is not guaranteed without prior arrangement. AIR CONDITIONING: Some but not all areas of the house have air conditioning. All 5 bedrooms have a window AC unit. The dining room and library also have window ACs, and the kitchen has a split-valve AC (wall unit). The remainder of the house is not air-conditioned. There are also two large standing fans and multiple box fans available.
