B’antiox Guesthouse is located deep in the Guatemala jungle just 350 meters from Semuc Champey. We are a private nature reserve and sanctuary hosting lots of exotic birds, plants and wildlife. We offer a free educational tour of the reserve as well as a chocolate making class. We are not a party place. The space Property is overflowing with indigenous plants, trees and wildlife including fruit trees, spices, and many species of parrots and butteries. Bird, parrot and butterfly tours free. We just ask that you give a small donation to your guide as a way to help support his family. Hiking tours of the property and its mirador (day or night) are available for amazing views and sounds of nature. The day tour of our land lasting about 1.5 hours will be an educational tour of all our fruit trees, spice plants and other plants used for medicinal purposes by the Mayans for centuries. Mayan chocolate making classes are available in our kitchen for a small fee to help support a local family. Family-style dinners are served at an affordable rate. Guest access We have a dining room where family-Style meals are served. During your stay I or our partner will be available to my guests 100% of the time at their discretion to assist in enhancing their experience in all Semuc Champey and Lanquin has to offer. Other things to note Due to the amount of wildlife on our property and to respect the local community, we refrain from music being played except through the use of personal headphones. We can assist with arranging transportation from Lanquin. The truck drivers do not work for us - they are members of the local community and you would pay them directly.
