Plus the 4th floor terrace. The space Enjoy a private en-suite room in a 165 year old colonial home. The home is called Las Escaleras and is located in the heart of Merida's Centro Historico. The central square, restaurants, museums, shops and galleries are just a few minutes walk from Las Escaleras. We have two additional rooms for rent that are more spacious with larger bathrooms. (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/4418110) This newly renovated room is in the interior courtyard and has a queen sized bed. The room has A/C but guests rarely need it with the high ceiling and fan. At the rear of the property is a sparkling pool for your enjoyment. The house features 2 kitchens, one is a fully equipped poolside kitchen for guests to use. In the evening, guests can walk up to the 4th floor bird's nest and take in the spectacular sunset. Merida is very flat so having a bird's eye view of the city is a very rare and delightful opportunity. There are no TV's in the room but there is fast fibre-optic internet with wi-fi with a very strong signal (5 bars!). Most people travel with their own devices these days. Rooms come with high quality 100% cotton linens, bath towels and pool towels. It is a 12 minute walk from the bus station. Parking is available nearby on the street or at a secure car park one block away. Guest access Guests have access to the Grand Sala (living room), the interior courtyard, the Pool, the Poolside Kitchen, the Dining Room, the Rooftop Bar and Terrace. During your stay We enjoy our guests but if we are on the property we try to respect their privacy. We are available for any questions or guidance and as little or as much interaction as they desire.
