FIRE BAN RULES: Due to Jefferson County's geographic makeup, wildfire is a concern. People are encouraged to be vigilant as the danger of fire is always present in the high country. -- Recreational fires and/or campfires are prohibited. -- Smoking is prohibited, except within an enclosed vehicle or building, or while stopped in an area of at least six feet in diameter that is barren or cleared of all combustible material. -- The use of all fireworks is prohibited.
