Country living on the edge of town (single)

A private room in our 100 year old farm house, rustic and charming, on 2 lovely acres with gardens... if you love sleek and modern, please look elsewhere. STR2526B5845 The space Near a brook and woods, but a pleasant walk to downtown North Sydney, a great base from which to explore beautiful Cape Breton Island. The 2 guest rooms share a bath and partial kitchen, and sometimes you may use other rooms, but we live busy lives here, with a big dog and cat, so other spaces are not always available nor kept to the standards of a commercial BNB. It's an interesting, welcoming home. Guest access NOTE: If we happen to be out when you arrive, the door will be unlocked and masking tape signs will direct you to your room. We are usually happy to let you use common rooms, as long as you are respectful, and you can play my son's semi-concert grand piano if you know how. The pictured bathroom is exclusively for guests so it might be yours alone or might be shared with guests in the other rental bedroom if it is occupied. There is another bath with shower you can use if the guest bath has to be shared. We have our own private bath ensuite in the master bedroom. There is a partial kitchen for guests, with microwave, kettle and fridge... the full kitchen may be available on request, but we use it a lot. During your stay We love to cook and usually eat out doors in the summer, and you are welcome to use the barbecue. We are not always at home, but if we are, we would love hearing about your adventures. We can give you lots of advice about where to go and what to do in Cape Breton.
