Utility light outside, (4) security lights, firepit. tiki torches, canopy with chairs for sitting outside. Kitchen has mini-frig. 2 burner cooktop, microwave, hot water kettle for coffee, toaster oven. 41 acres to hike on and enjoy. Full front porch! Only minutes from town and shopping. Although loft is designated sleeping area, the sofa bed folds out to full-sized bed so you do not have to climb ladder if you do not wish to do so. There is a mattress pad for couch, please keep in mind, IT IS A SOFA BED and is NOT as comfortable as your pillowtop king sized bed at home. Camping cot available on request. Loft has banister for safety but not recommended for small children. ABSOLUTELY NO HUNTING! You have access to cabin and 41 acres surrounding cabin. Mountain has elevation of 1140 ft., good for climbing and hiking. NOT suitable for dirt bikes or ATV's. Gravel delivered in July 2021. Lane has much better access now BUT 4x4 or AWD works best. Small sports cars or motorcycles are not recommended. Ed and I or a family member are only a phone call away. Great neighbors at end of lane, always willing to assist. This place "feels" very secluded but you are actually only 10 miles from Flemingsburg and only 16 miles from Morehead (I-64) where there are great places to eat, shop and explore. The surrounding woods and mountain make it a great place to explore or set up a tent. Fleming County is the COVERED BRIDGE CAPITAL and The Goddard/White Covered Bridge is just down the lane. In the fall when the leaves start turning colors is the absolute best time for scenery and picture taking. Flemingsburg is a small community of about 2800 people. The town has 2 stop lights downtown. Everyone is very hospitable and nothing is hard to find. Morehead is a larger (college) town and the home of Morehead State University. Cave Run Lake is just outside of Morehead and is located inside the Daniel Boone National Forest. Cave Run offers a large lake for boating, fishing, swimming. With boat rentals available at the Marina. The "coffee maker" is a hot water pot for making INSTANT coffee and tea as counter space is limited. The loft is NOT toddler-friendly, not safe for little ones as they could fall down the ladder! The driveway is gravel and on an incline. Vehicle needs 4 wheel drive, all-wheel drive. Sports cars, small cars or vehicles with only rear-wheel drive will have difficulty. There are now 20 TONS of gravel so the amount of or lack of is not the problem, you need a vehicle with the ability to climb a hill. The cabin is at the top of the incline (900 feet, but still at the bottom of the mountain) and surrounded by trees so when the leaves fall and/or it rains/snows, you will need traction. Trucks with four-wheel drive, vans, Jeeps, SUV's do not have a problem. Do not try to "crawl" up the drive at a snail's pace, you will get hung up in the gravel.
