The Star Gazing Studio is located in the heart of the New River Gorge in Chestnut Creek Campground. This is glamping at it's best folks. The studio's open floor plan is perfect for couples and friends to share. **IMPORTANT** "Glamping" is a descriptive word for "glamorous camping". No running water in space. Guests must walk to bath house, or for those that don’t like to walk, guests may drive their car to bath house (which is in close walking distance, approximately 250 feet) to use bathroom. *Private Entrance/Staircase. *The studio includes a kitchenette with a full sized refridgerator, a cook top burner, microwave, coffee maker, and a sink using the latest glamping technology of a foot pump for light cup rinsing and hand washing. *Drinking water is available in a dispenser. *Guests may use the campground bathhouse with hot showers and flush toilets. Only a short walk across the stargazing field. *Wash basin sink is available outside the bathhouse for dirty dishes and filling water jugs. *A fire pit is available at ground level for the full stargazing experience ambience. *Retro TV with DVD player and boom box available for use. A lending library full of books and DVD's are available below in our campground office during the day. *Wifi coming soon. Seth our campground host is onsite 24/7 and is available for day to day business interactions; as well as any emergencies that may arise. For those that arrive past 11pm; a phone call will need to take place that day before you arrive to communicate how to get into the space. You are responsible for making that phone call. Chestnut Creek Campground is a mere half a mile from the bridge itself, practically walking distance (for all you die hard Bridge Day goers). Lansing itself is charming. Places to visit and walk to in Lansing are: *The Lansing general Store; just up at the top of Chestnut Creek's drive on Lansing-Edmond Road. The store has quick grab food, water, beer, wine, firewood, and ice. *The Burrito Bar on Breeze Hill; with micro brew beers, wine, and awesome bands playing on weekends and weekdays. Burrito Bar is one of the best places to catch the sunset here on the New River Gorge. *New and Gauley River Adventures; a local river outfitter, they offer some of the best deals here to get you and your friends out on the water. *Fayette Station Road; River access is a mere 5-10minute drive to the bottom of the gorge, where parking is available to put in a raft or just sit river side and watch people traverse the waters of Fayette Station rapid. ***Please be aware the New River is whitewater and a PFD is always recommended if choosing to swim, boat, or SUP. *River Rock Retreat Hostel; Located directly across the street from the Lansing General Store. Bunkbeds and common space allow for those who'd prefer a roof over a tent and shared amenities. So excited about our latest shuttle that is now available from 5pm-1am! This shuttle makes it's rounds from all the hot spots in Fayetteville all the way to Lansing as well as across the way to Ame's Heights where there is more restaurants and night life.
