It originally housed the Seward Commercial Co. general store, with a town meeting hall upstairs. During the Roaring ’20s, the building was used as a brothel. It is presently the home of the Rowdy Radish cafe downstairs and rental apartments upstairs. The five apartments are beautifully restored, with original hardwood floors, clawfoot tubs, original built-in cabinetry, high ceilings and vintage kitchens with modern appliances. In a town that was hit hard by the 1964 earthquake, few original buildings have stood the test of time, and fewer still feature such comfortable accommodations. We offer our guests the unique opportunity to experience Seward’s history without sacrificing any of the conveniences you expect while traveling. Guest access Entire apartment, and cafe downstairs. Other things to note Our apartments are located on the second floor, which is only accessed by stairs (see photo in our photo section). We apologize, but we do not have an elevator. We'd be glad to help you up the stairs with your luggage, if you give us a call or text first!
