This small cozy cottage is right at the 4 Corners in the middle of Gustavus, yet protected and private. It has all of the modern conveniences in a 2-story small house, supported by two long-term Gustavus residents right next door. Find all you need in this lovely accommodation, ready for you to enjoy! The space 4 Corners Glacier Bay Cottage in Gustavus caters to the independent traveler. This small two-story house is conveniently located at the 4-Corners in the center of Gustavus, yet is very private and rural. Outside your window you'll find a large field plus spruce and willow trees. It is a very short walk to the café / gallery as well as to a quiet river, ocean beach, and hiking trail. It is about a mile from the Costco-foods grocery store, called Toshco. On the first floor of the cottage is a full kitchen/living room (stove and microwave; table and couch) plus a full bathroom, including a tub, plus a washer/dryer. The second story is a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. The sofa in the living room also converts into a double bed. There are games and books for your use. Available for your use are bicycles for biking the flat roads leading from beach to forest and to Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve. There is also a local taxi available. Your long-time Gustavus hosts Kate (artist) and Fritz (boat builder) are happy to help you enjoy this special place, which includes a Public Library, several art studios, excellent fishing, beach walking, trails, and roads to travel. Limited email-worthy wireless internet is free at the local Library and at the cafe across the street. There are weekly opportunities to join musical groups singing and playing instruments at the gallery and in the Library, as well as at times in people's homes. Instruments are available for loan. Just ask your host! (dependent on COVID precautions.)
