Come experience this charming duplex in the vibrant East Side of Milwaukee. The location is perfect - walk to the iconic Brady St, Milwaukee River, Lake Michigan, Downtown, Fiserv Forum, breweries, restaurants and more! Right around the corner is a hip coffee shop and across the street is an extremely cheap dive bar. Street parking in the area is free and plentiful! If you want to stay in, we have all the essentials including Disney+, board games, books and a backyard including a grill! Heat and A/C The apartment has central heat and is controlled by the thermostat in the living room. There are also a couple of room A/C units that are installed in late May/early June. Heat is shut off during the summer. Kitchen We have basic cooking utensils and additional appliances that you are free to use, but we would greatly appreciate if you could clean up before checking out. There’s also condiments, tea and coffee. Living Room This living room comes with 1 sectional couch. We have a Smart TV. We include Disney+ (no cable). There are also other streaming services available to use. Bedroom 1 There is a queen size bed with fresh linens, pillows, dresser and a clothing rack. Upon arrival, there will be towels and washcloths laid out for each guest. During the warm months, there is a window AC unit. Bedroom 2 There is a queen size bed with fresh linens, pillows, a lamp, a nightstand, a desk with a desk chair. Upon arrival, there will be towels and washcloths laid out for each guest. During the warm months, there is a window AC unit. Hallway The fire alarm is in the hallway. Bathroom This house has a full bathroom. The shower includes shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Laundry If you need to do laundry, we have a washer and dryer in the basement for you to use. Make sure the light switch at the top of the basement stairs is on. Laundry soap and dryer sheets are also provided. If you walk outside the unit door, turn right down the hallway, the stairs to go into the basement are there. There could be a load of laundry (sheets, towels, etc.) in the dryer. If you use the washer/dryer, please place the laundry in the laundry basket. Parking We do not offer off street parking although there is lots of free street parking Some of the street parking nearby has a time limit. Take a look at the sign on the street before parking. Some of the streets nearby that do not have time limits are E Pleasant St, Lyon St, and N Cass St If you do street parking during the night Sun-Fri, you will need to register your car with the City of Milwaukee (link is the the guest manual). You can have 3 free registered nights within 30 days. If you need for than 3 nights, you can buy a 4 month pass for $20 (link is in the guest manual). There are also parking garages and parking lots close by. If you wish to go this route, we recommend looking on SpotHero Transportation Walk - Our apartment is a short walk to both Brady Street and Lake Michigan. It is also possible to walk to many Milwaukee attractions such as the Art Museum (just under a mile and a beautiful walk along the Lake) and downtown (about 1.5 miles). Uber/Lyft - These ride sharing services are very popular in Milwaukee. Just download either of these apps onto your smartphone and call a ride! The Hop - This Streetcar is completely free and runs to downtown and the Third Ward Bus - Multiple bus routes in Milwaukee Taxi - A few taxis in Milwauke Bublr Bikes - These are bikes that you can rent. You can download the app on your smartphone and find and rent a bike that way. Another option is if you see a Bublr kiosk, you can pay at the kiosk with your credit card and rent a bike. I live in the upstairs unit. The duplex is located on a main street in the city, which will be noisy sometimes.
