The space This luxurious 4500 square foot 4 bedroom, plus an office with WIFI, and a sitting room adjoining the master bedroom that can both serve as two additional bedrooms. The 800 sq. ft. studio right off of the pool area has a queen size bed. Easily 10 persons can be accommodated for there is a total of seven beds for bookings in excess of 8. The entire Villa is a secure gated property and is handicap accessible with ramps to all area inclusive of the use of a 900 sq. ft. terrace with a view of the harbor for relaxing, sun bathing and partying based on the reservation. This allows all ages to enjoy this residence for there are no areas that are inaccessible from the parking spaces to the pool to the terrace. It is a home that captures all of the elegance of a family that has four generations that utilized this magnificent site for parties of over 200 persons that represented all levels of Virgin Islands society. The Christian family is a family that has kept the traditions of the Virgin Islands alive while providing the comfort and accommodations of a 21st Century vacation site. All rooms have air-conditioning but also have fans that are the traditional way that most Virgin Islanders enjoy the tradewind breezes entering the home. The Villa has free parking. It is about eight minutes from the airport and three minutes from the heart of the city and five minutes from a world famous beach. A car or taxi is required for there is no public transport. You must experience Christian Villa for the family has ensured that you experience the residence in the style and manner that you deserve in St. Thomas. The Villa was restored by Dr. Christian who grew up and resided in the residence until going off to medical school and returning to St. Croix to serve the community of her father’s birthplace. Dr. Christian kept the original architecture and basalt stone (locally called “blue bitch stone”) from the actual excavation of the property. This stone is a very hard volcanic stone used by the Danes on many of the historic buildings that are still evident in the city of Charlotte Amalie, a nationally acclaimed historic city and balusters that her father and mother sat many an evening together in the early days of their 64 years of marriage as they filled the molds with concrete and applied the stonework to the structure. Throughout the residence are relics of the life of her family from her grandfather’s mahogany bed to the crystal chandelier from her mother’s bedroom that now serves as a unique and stunning planter, to the pool that has a inlaid rose at its bottom at the same location that her mother’s rose garden was and much more. The pool, which overlooks the harbor is on the eastern side with its own bathroom and a refrigerator for those who want to access a cold drink or snack without having to go to the spacious kitchen that has a large French door refrigerator spacious enough to accommodate the tastes of all of the residents. The view of the harbor can be enjoyed through the glass French doors or windows from the sitting room, the dining room or the living room as well as from the various balconies or pool.
