Separate bedroom includes a brand new king size tempurpedic bed and new modern furnishings. Queen size murphy bed in the living area includes additional sleeping for 2, allowing a total of 2 adults and 2 children to stay comfortably! If you have 2 more joining you, rent the studio next door to make it a 2 bedroom/2 bath! Fully functional kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances. If you choose to eat in we have everything you would need. There is also an on-site restaurant located at the main pool or Red Hook is approximately a mile away with tons of great eating options as well. The ferry terminal is also located in Red Hook where you can head to St. John for the day or catch one of the ferries over to the BritishVirgin Islands. Walk down to Sapphire Beach (3-5 minute walk), check out Sapphire Beach Buzz for morning specialty coffee and breakfast sandwiches. There are 2 pools at Sapphire Village and each one is about a 1-2 minute walk. There are also great restaurants within walking distance. Sudi's Caribbean Grille right here at the Sapphire Village and next to the pool and The Beach Buzz open for coffee, breakfast and lunch, Sapphire Beach Bar open every day from 11am to 8pm, Paradise Pizza open everyday from 11am to 8pm and Sea Salt open for dinner starting at 5pm - all of those located on the beach. Sapphire Beach Bar has a Sunday Funday with live music every Sunday from 3-6pm and a full moon party every month. Sapphire Village is within a 5 minute drive to Red Hook where you will find a bar and restaurant to suit every taste. At Sapphire Marina, you can find fishing charter boats to enjoy, jet ski rentals, parasailing, sailboat cruises and also a spot to rent your own dinghy (if you have boating experience). It's the perfect location on island to have as a home base for exploring St. Thomas and even our sister island of St. John. Other things to note We are located on the top floor of our building but it's only one flight of stairs up from the parking area! We do not have an elevator. POWER OUTAGES Our island power company WAPA has always experienced issues and you may experience times when the power will go out unexpectedly; sometimes this is island-wide and sometimes it only affects certain areas but it has nothing to do with Sapphire Hill Village or us so unfortunately there isn’t anything we can do about it. Should you experience a power outage, you are able to run an extension cord to the hallway to power your electronic devices or the fridge. We find it’s a perfect opportunity to unplug and go to the beach or explore different places on the island. Most locals are used to this, but I truly understand this is not the norm for everyone else – hopefully you can roll with it and look around at the beautiful views and appreciate the beauty along with the quirks of island life! TRIP/TRAVEL INSURANCE As private Hosts, we offer unique dates in our property and highly recommend purchasing "cancel for any reason" travel insurance which may cover many risks including airline cancellations and health emergencies at a minimal cost. We do not provide refunds due to airline cancellations, health emergencies, power or wifi outages that are beyond our control. HEADS UP for Your Island Getaway for the months of AUGUST TO NOVEMBER! 🌴 As you’re dreaming of sipping piña coladas and soaking up the sun here in the US Virgin Islands, we wanted to give you a little heads-up. While the months of August, September and October often bring us beautiful blue skies and warm breezes, it’s also the time when Mother Nature can be a bit unpredictable. 🌦️ You might experience days filled with sunshine or get treated to some scattered rain showers (perfect for a cozy afternoon in your suite). There’s also the possibility of a tropical wave or, on rare occasions, even a hurricane trying to crash the party. 🌪️ While we always hope for the best, we like to be prepared for anything. That's why we strongly recommend getting travel insurance for your trip. With travel insurance, you can enjoy your vacation with peace of mind, knowing you’re covered no matter what the weather decides to do. Because let’s face it, the only surprises you want on your vacation are the good kind—like a sea turtle swimming by during your snorkel! 🐢 Now, just in case Mother Nature gets really dramatic and a storm in the Virgin Islands causes the airport on St. Thomas to close, preventing you from flying in, we’ve got you covered with a full refund. However, if a storm somewhere else impacts your travel, we won’t be able to provide a refund—so if you’re flying from or through areas that might be hit by snowstorms, windstorms, or any other weather adventures, trip insurance is definitely the way to go. If you’re already on-island and a named storm decides to drop by, please note that our villa is not a suitable storm shelter. For your safety, you’ll need to check out, and we’ll gladly refund you for the unused portion of your stay. There are designated storm shelters and hotels/resorts that are better equipped for serious weather, and once again, trip insurance can help cover the unexpected.
