Airco in the bedrooms. You're our GUEST in the place we used to live in for five years, the place we love and still visit. It's furnished with our things that we love; the opposite of impersonal. 5th (top) floor, small 4-person elevator. *** FAST*** WIFI & STREAMING Fast WiFi 360 Mbps. Large flat screen smart TV in living room. Apps for Netflix, YouTube, AppleTV+, etc. Mexican over-the-air channels. PATIO (650 sq ft) with PANORAMIC 180° VIEWS has a bench that seats two and a dining table and chairs of tzalam Mexican hardwood. Lots of plants and cacti. THREE WORKSPACES Desk in office nook off living room. Plenty of plugs. Both bedrooms have 40" long work desks. 1 printer (HP) available, buy ink nearby 2 BEDROOMS - 1 w/QUEEN & 1 w/KING BED, each with WORK DESK Each bedroom has views to the South, a work desk and chair, and a queen or king bed with comfy, quality memory foam mattress (IKEA top of line). 8 pillows of various kinds (hard/soft/hypo) are available. Pinzon and Vera Wang sheets. Each bedroom has blackout blinds and a door to the terrace that runs the entire length of the apartment. AIR MATTRESS Twin (1 person) high quality Sleeplux brand air mattress purchased in April 2023, simply plug in to inflate - no hand pumps involved. AIR CONDITIONING AND FANS We DO air conditioning units in each bedroom, plus tower fans in the living room. Keep in mind that very few places in the city have full airco throughout the apartment. Why? Many people are surprised to find out that mile-high Mexico City has a dry, moderate climate, not hot, humid, or tropical, with highs in the 70s F year round, just a few cold days (50s F) in the winter and some heat in April/May with highs in the low 80sF but relatively dry. During the summer, daily rain showers around 7pm keep the city clean and cool. Local residents open windows and patio doors to let in the breeze, and use fans. If you must have full airco, I suggest an upscale hotel or "Uliv". BATHROOMS Each bedroom has a connected tiled bathroom with tiled shower, toilet and sink. Each shower has both fixed showerhead and handheld unit. Master toilet is Japanese-style with bidet function. 1 hall half-bath (sink, toilet) and 1 "maid's" bathroom. SHOWER TIMING! Note that in Mexico City, in residential buildings there are not large water tanks like the US or “instant on” as in Europe. There are 10 gallons (37 liters) at once after which you have to wait 6-8 minutes for another tankful to warm. You need to have the hot water flowing when you need it and not continuously. For longer showers, you’ll need to choose a hotel instead and not an Airbnb that is a normal residential apartment. 1 HAIRDRYER, 1 lighted magnifying mirror, plenty of premium towels, toilet paper, shower gel, shampoo, hand soap. LIVING / DINING Living - dining - kitchen is one large colorful open space. Two long, extra-wide sofas which could be used to sleep on. Mid-century casual dining table seats six, slate kitchen bar with 3 industrial barstools. Views from the panoramic window; vertical Legorreta/Barragán-style slat windows for sunrise views, if you're up THAT early! KITCHEN Nespresso machine (buy pods at supermarket), French Press to make coffee, electric kettle, teapot, pots, pans, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, fridge, freezer, plates, bowls, glasses, mugs... Dishwasher and detergent, garbage disposal. Dish soap. GROCERIES - we can have groceries delivered at cost to coincide with your arrival - just let me know. WATER Fill our pitchers from the kitchen & master bath taps that provide filtered, safe drinking water - no need to buy bottles of water. But if you do, a pharmacy and a bodega/corner store are right downstairs. WASHER & DRYER (Samsung, free, in unit), Rowenta steam iron & ironing board, clothes drying rack.
