Description

Cobscook Lodge faces west for perfect water sunsets, with 1/3 mile of private bay shoreline, and 30 wooded acres to explore. Cliffs, ledges, pebble beaches, observation points, and 21 foot tides make for any adventure. The Bold Coast’s 43 parks (incl the 20 parklands of Cobscook Shores) with 150 miles of trails and 90 miles of coastline, is a rare wild getaway. The farmhouse is available on a five night minimum stay. Please contact us for scheduling help. We hope you can visit! The space Eagles, deer, porcupine, raccoon, fox, squirrels, otters, the occasional bobcat, and seals all can be spotted from the property. The modern classic Victorian farmhouse sits 60 feet above Whiting Bay with commanding water views to the north, west, and south for miles in any direction. There are no visible neighboring houses, only the forest, cliffs, and shoreline seen from the house. All 30 acres are reserved for the rental and not shared by anyone else. Downstairs are the living and family areas with a full bathroom / mud room. A screened porch 24 feet long faces the water. Three bedrooms upstairs with a full bath including shower and claw foot tub. Endless outdoor exploration with several parks and protected lands within walking distance of the property. Please read the reviews to get the best price independent thoughts on the property. Guest access Easy access with a lockbox and plenty of parking. This spring we are clearing a quarter-mile trail on the property to a small pebble beach allowing for easier access to the tidal waters. Other things to note Cobscook Shores parklands (named in 2022 New York Times - 52 Places in the Word to Visit) are within biking distance. Race Point’s reversing falls are spectacular. Whiting Bay Beach allows canoe and kayak access with water trails across the bay to Cobscook State Park and Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge. Additionally, there are Downeast Conservation lands and islands at the end of the road to explore.
