Unique experience: deluxe yurt in Anchorage

We invite you to spend your next vacation in a yurt in Alaska! This unique structure is 24-feet in diameter, and has a loft with a very comfortable queen-size bed . The downstairs area has comfortable seating for 4, including a futon couch. There is a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, WiFi, and a deck with afternoon sun. The yurt sits on a quiet, wooded property, and moose and bear may wonder through the gardens at times. No wonder Buddhists named the yurt a "home of melodies". The space The yurt is located on a large 3-acre private lot on the South Anchorage hillside, just a mile up Rabbit Creek Road from the New Seward Highway. The lot has a large lawn with flower gardens. Moose, rabbits, squirrels, and tame Steller Jays frequent the property. Both brown and black bears also occasionally wander through the grounds. Potters Marsh is nearby and a great place to stroll the boardwalk to view waterfowl and salmon. Guest access The yurt is self-sufficient, and guests have access to WIFI. There is a road that drives up to the yurt. Our cabin is on the same property, and guest are always welcome to stop by with questions. The yurt is located in South Anchorage, and grocery stores and restaurants are only a 5 minute drive. Downtown Anchorage is 10 miles away. It is also close to the main road to the Kenai Peninsula, and about 2 hours from Seward and Soldotna.
